Reduction of uranyi. Carbonate to uranium dioxide with formaldehyde sulphoxylates

Uranyl carbonate may be reduced to UO/sub 2/ with formaldehyde sulfoxylates (preferably the ammonium salt) or a mixture of formaldehyde and a bisulfite. The mechanism of the reaction is discussed. (Uranium Abstr., Vol. 2, No. 4, May 1963)
