CT, MR Imaging, and Radionuclide Imaging in a Patient With Hepatic Involvement in Primary Amyloidosis
1997
The authors present CT, MR, and radionuclide images of a patient with hepatic involvement of primary amyloidosis. Hepatomegaly with heterogeneous tracer distribution was seen on Tc-99m phytate and Tc-99m GSA scintigraphy. Abnormal tracer accumulation in the liver was recognized on Tc-99m PYP and Tc-99m (V) DMSA scintigraphy. Scintigraphy seemed to be more useful than CT or MR in the evaluation of hepatic involvement of primary amyloidosis.
