Lagrangian analysis of the PVDF shock sensor

The electrical response of the PVDF shock sensor is here revisited. An analysis with a lagrangian hydrocode shows that the electrical charge liberated during the 1D deformation of the PVDF film is strictly proportional to the true strain of the PVDF film. On the experimentally studied range (until 30 GPa), the electrical response of the PVDF gauge is linear.
