Amazona vinacea

The vinaceous-breasted amazon (Amazona vinacea) is a species of parrot in the family Psittacidae. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical or tropical moist montane forest, and plantations. It is threatened by habitat loss. The vinaceous-breasted amazon is colorful parrot 30 cm (12 in) long. It is mostly green, with a red forehead, bluish nape, and a vinous-maroon breast. The vinaceous-breasted amazon has become rare. It inhabits several areas within Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
