Lamprocyphus augustus

Lamprocyphus augustus is a species of the true weevil family. Lamprocyphus augustus can reach a length of about 22–25 millimetres (0.87–0.98 in). The iridescent green with golden reflections is a structural colour. It is created by the photonic crystal structure of its chitin scales. This species occurs in Brazil and Argentina.
