The royal ground snake (Erythrolamprus reginae) is a species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is endemic to northern South America. It is found in Venezuela, Peru, and Trinidad and Tobago. It feeds on frogs, frog eggs, tadpoles, fish, small birds, and lizards. The following subspecies can be distinguished: Nota bene: A trinomial authority in parentheses indicates that the subspecies was originally described in a genus other than Liophis.
