Sarcocapnos enneaphylla

Sarcocapnos enneaphylla is a species of flowering plant in the Papaveraceae family. It is native to southwestern Europe and northern Africa. It grows in rocks and crevices of escarpments, usually in limestone cliffs. A more or less creeping perennial plant, with a woody base and flexible, caespitose stems. Leaves long stalked, compound, with rounded oval segments, almost heart-shaped and pointed apex. Flowers white or yellowish, purple at the end. Outer petals much longer, bilobed. The upper petal provided with a short spur inflated at the apex. Ovaries with two ovules. Fruit elongated, compressed, with three nerves and dehiscent. Flowers from winter to summer.
