In mathematics, the Kirby–Siebenmann class is an element of the fourth cohomology group In mathematics, the Kirby–Siebenmann class is an element of the fourth cohomology group which must vanish if a topological manifold M is to have a piecewise linear structure. It is named for Robion Kirby and Larry Siebenmann.
