Kelpfish

A kelpfish is a member of the genus Chironemus of perciform fishes in the family Chironemidae, native to coastal Australia and New Zealand. The name of the genus is from Greek cheir meaning 'hands' and nema meaning 'thread'. The currently recognized species in this genus are:
