Didymochlaenaceae

Didymochlaena is a genus of fern. As of July 2019, it is the only genus in the family Didymochlaenaceae, and has only one species, Didymochlaena truncatula, also known under the synonym Didymochlaena sinuosa. Some sources place the genus in the family Polypodiaceae. It is commonly grown as a house plant, and is sometimes known as the mahogany maidenhair. The following cladogram for the suborder Polypodiineae (eupolypods I), based on the consensus cladogram in the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I), shows a likely phylogenetic relationship between Didymochlaenaceae and the other families of the clade.
