Yersiniaceae

Yersiniaceae are a family of Gram-negative bacteria that includes some familiar pathogens, such as Yersinia pestis, cause of the familiar deadly disease, bubonic plague. This family is a member of the order Enterobacteriales in the class Gammaproteobacteria of the phylum Proteobacteria. Other genera in this family include Ewingella, Rahnella, Rouxiella, Samsonia and Serratia.
