Other names in common use include rubber allyltransferase, rubber transferase, isopentenyl pyrophosphate cis-1,4-polyisoprenyl transferase, cis-prenyl transferase, rubber polymerase, and rubber prenyltransferase. This enzyme participates in biosynthesis of steroids.
