Epinephelus epistictus

The dotted grouper (Epinephelus epistictus) is a tropical marine serranid fish of the Indo-Pacific waters. Its distribution ranges form the Red Sea to South Africa, and to India, Southeast Asia, and Northern Australia, and north to Japan on the Pacific coast. The dotted grouper may grow up to 70–80 cm length. It is a demersal fish found at 70–300 m depths.
