Mesoclemmys heliostemma

Mesoclemmys heliostemma is a species of turtle. They are endemic to South America, with reports in Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil (Roraima, Amazonas, Pará, Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Acre). The type locality of the species is the base of Pico da Neblina, on the Brazilian-Venezuelan border.
