Abstract Development of applied aspects of acoustooptic (AO) signal conversion theory in nematic liquid crystals1 (NLC) resulted in creation of a new family of the sensors operating on the common physical principle and capable to follow variations of a number of physical values: pressure P(t), vibrational velocities (linear ζ(t) and angular Ω(t), temperature fluctuations T(t).

Исследование собственных шумов акустооптических сенсоров на жидких кристаллах

Впервые установлены факторы, определяющие спектральную плотность собственных оптических шумов акустооптического сенсора, обусловленных флуктуациями ориентации ансамбля молекул нематического жидкого кристалла в чувствительном элементе для области частот 0.011 Гц. Показано, что используя тонкие слои этого кристалла с жестким сцеплением молекул на границах чувствительного элемента и широкие пучки света для считывания информации, можно в условиях квазилинейного акустооптического преобразования понизить уровень шумов и повысить чувствительность сенсора.

A method for purifying the water bodies and soils from ions of heavy metals using the heat-treated foamed concrete is under development. It is proposed to use this absorber for waste water treatment also, and not only within treatment facilities that are under design, but also that are already exist. The article provides the results of experimental research in the field of heavy metal ions absorption by heat-treated foamed concrete. Studies have shown the effectiveness of treatment, as well as higher capacity of absorption of heavy metal ions by this absorber compared to the absorbers in use.

The review contains data about pathogenic factors of Candida sp., mechanisms of adhesion, synthesis of hydrolytic enzymes that causes damage to the host tissue, immunomodulatory effects, damaging the viability of antimicrobial resistance of the host mechanisms, and biofilm formation. Questions of regulation of Candida sp. growth characteristics and persistent factors by essential oils in vitro and in vivo are discussed.
