Table 1 shows the magnetic elements as well as the meteorological conditions, during the eclipse of June 8, 1918. The magnetic ordinates were read from the photographic records with the greatest accuracy every five minutes; the values of the base lines are only approximate. At the time the daily mean absolute values of the different magnetic elements were: Declination, D = 0° 34′.09 E; Horizontal Intensity, H = 38110γ; Vertical Intensity, Z = 10975γ.
