In this paper,we propose a hybrid power model that includes the power consumption of not only the registers but also part of the combinational logic.By doing knownkey analysis with this hybrid model,power side-channel leakage caused by correct keys can be detected.In experiment,PRINTcipher and DES algorithms were chosen as analysis targets and combinational logic s-box unit was selected to build power template.The analysis results showed the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) power consumption increase of more than 20%after considering s-box’s power consumption so that the information of keys can be obtained with just half number of power traces.In addition,the side channel-leakage detection capability of our method also shows better effectiveness that can identify the correct keys.
The development of interest in animal behaviour and welfare science in China mirrors the political and economic changes in the country over the last three decades. Traditionally, animal farming in China was small-scale and family-based with the main purpose of feeding the family rather than supplying food to society. At that time, the health status, productivity and efficiency of farm animals were usually overlooked. As large-scale confinement production systems were introduced from western countries in 1980s, problems in animal health and animal behaviour emerged. In seeking solutions to the problems, Chinese scientists started to teach and research 'Applied Ethology' at universities. After joining the WTO in 2001, China has been challenged on animal welfare issues in international markets. In domestic markets, Chinese consumers generally believe that improving animal welfare would improve the food safety of animal products, such as meat and eggs. As a result, research in applied ethology and animal welfare is better funded now as compared to 20 years ago. The presence of international organisations for animal welfare, animal protection and animal rights in China has encouraged Chinese citizens to get involved in animal welfare and protection. The Chinese government has constituted laws for animal protection. This chapter describes historical, political and economic impacts on the development of animal behaviour and welfare science in China.
On the basis of data of drifting bottles'tracks and the current measured in anchored stations, as well as temperature and salinity observed in cruise investigations and coastal stations, ADCP current data and AVHRR surface sea temperature (SST) data on the western coast of Guangdong, synthetic results of analysis showed that the coastal currents in the west of the mouth of the Zhujiang River were mainly westward in summer, which constituted the north branch of cyclonic gyre in the east of the Qiongzhou Straits. Part of its water flowed westward into the Beibu Gulf through the Qiongzhou Straits. The coastal current pattern was not identical with the traditional current system which flowed westward in the Qiongzhou Straits in winter and eastward in summer. The summertime's coastal current was always westward, maybe temporarily turning northeast only when the southwest wind was strong. The important characteristics of coastal current on the western coast of Guangdong, in the Qiongzhou Straits and in the north of the Beibu Gulfwere analyzed and their mechanisms also were explained.
