Xiaoer lianhuaqinqgan (XELH), developed based on Lianhua Qingwen (LHQW) prescription, contains 13 traditional Chinese medicines. It has completed the investigational new drug application to treat respiratory viral infections in children in China.This study demonstrates the pharmacological effects of XELH against viral pneumonia.The antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects of XELH were investigated in vitro using H3N2-infected A549 and LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells and in vivo using BALB/c mice models of influenza A virus (H3N2) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-infection. Mice were divided into 7 groups (n = 20): Control, Model, LHQW (0.5 g/kg), XELH-low (2 g/kg), XELH-medium (4 g/kg), XELH-high (8 g/kg), and positive drug (20 mg/kg oseltamivir or 60 mg/kg ribavirin) groups. The anti-inflammatory effects of XELH were tested in a rat model of LPS-induced fever and a mouse model of xylene-induced ear edoema.In vitro, XELH inhibited the pro-inflammatory cytokines and replication of H1N1, H3N2, H1N1, FluB, H9N2, H6N2, H7N3, RSV, and HCoV-229E viruses, with (IC50 47.4, 114, 79, 250, 99.2, 170, 79, 62.5, and 93 μg/mL, respectively). In vivo, XELH reduced weight loss and lung index, inhibited viral replication and macrophage M1 polarization, ameliorated lung damage, decreased inflammatory cell infiltration and pro-inflammatory cytokines expression in lung tissues, and increased the CD4+/CD8+ ratio. XELH inhibited LPS-induced fever in rats and xylene-induced ear edoema in mice.XELH efficacy partially depends on integrated immunoregulatory effects. XELH is a promising therapeutic option against childhood respiratory viral infections.
Objective: This study aimed to isolate and characterize a bacterium capable of degrading the pesticide paclobutrazol. The strain was obtained from soil enriched with paclobutrazol, and its degradation ability was assessed using gas chromatography (GC). Methods: A single strain was isolated from the soil solution of Ophiopogon japonicus, a plant exposed to excessive paclobutrazol spraying. Initial isolation utilized dilution and plating methods, followed by separation and purification through the streak plate technique. BLAST analysis revealed the strain's highest similarity to Deinococcus arenae SA1, with 100% homology after removing excess sequences. Subsequently, the degradation efficiency of this bacterium on paclobutrazol was evaluated by gas chromatography. Results: Quantification using the external standard method yielded a standard curve equation of y=0.0977x-0.412, with a correlation coefficient (R²) of 0.99842. Testing at different time showed that the Deinococcus arenae achieved a degradation rate of 2.49% after three days of degrading paclobutrazol. After five days, the degradation rate increased to 17.58%, reaching 38.66% after seven days, 42.20% after nine days, and 43.87% after eleven days. Conclusion: The Deinococcus arenae strain exhibited a significant degradation effect on paclobutrazol. This finding suggests potential for developing microbial agents to degrade paclobutrazol, promoting sustainable practices in agriculture.
Objective To assess the effectiveness and safety of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction for chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods The randomized controlled trials( RCTs) of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction for chronic atrophic gastritis compared with other medicines were collected by searching The Cochrane Library,EMbase,PubMed,CBM,CNK,VIP and Wanfang databases. All the trials were before 2011. 12. 30,and a critical quality assessment and Metaanalysis were performed independently for the included studies. Results 8 trials were included,and the qualities were low. Compared with the control group,Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group had superiority in remission rate based on clinical symptoms[n = 8,RR = 1. 16,95% CI( 1. 07,1. 25),P 0.00001]. 2 RCTs were found to describe the safety of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction for CAG. Conclusion Because of low quality,there was no enough evidence on Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction for CAG,So more highquality multicenter RCTs in large scale are required.

In the traditional filtering method to preprocess the image, the edges of target and background are usually blurred while the noise information being weakened, which is not conducive to the further processing of the image information. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes image preprocessing techniques based on image fusion: firstly applying improved median filtering algorithm and improved Sobel edge extraction algorithm respectively on the same degraded infrared image, then using the pixel level image fusion algorithm to combine the two processing results. The final fusion results show a clear image with significantly enhanced edge portion with a simple operation. In a word, this preprocessing method is conducive to the target detection and recognition in following treatment and achieves the image preprocessing requirements.
