Fabrication of μc-3C-SiC/c-Si Heterojunction Solar Cell by Hot Wire CVD System

N-type microcrystalline 3C-SiC:H films are deposited by hot wire chemical vapor deposition (HWCVD) at a low substrate temperature (~300degC). Heterojunction silicon based photovoltaic devices are fabricated by depositing wide band gap n-type muc-3C-SiC thin films on p-type Si wafer, whose thickness and resistivity are 200 mum and 1-10 Omega-cm respectively. The silicon wafers were textured by alkaline etchent prior to the device fabrication. The photovoltaic parameters of a typical device are found to be V _oc =560 mV, J _sc =35.0 mA/cm ² , F.F.=0.724, eta=14.20%. Numerical analysis has been performed by using AFORS-HET, one dimensional device simulator to find out the probable cause of the change in device parameters before and after ageing of the filament

Framework on Service based Resource Selection in Cloud Computing

In this paper, we are going to propose service based resource selection method in cloud computing environment. End-user generates a service request that is going to select a service based resource. The proposed mechanism enables users to access resources depending on the predefined criteria. Selection method to access the resources is introduced in this paper. The resources are virtualized and further delivered to the users as services. The aim of this paper is to select a computing resource by a service request. Service based resource selection procedure in cloud computing is described in this paper.

Abstract. Fresh water is a necessity of the human civilization. But with the increasing global population, the quantity and quality of available fresh water is getting compromised. To mitigate this subliminal problem, it is essential to enhance our level of understanding about the dynamics of global and regional fresh water resources which include surface and ground water reserves. With development in remote sensing technology, traditional and much localized in-situ observations are augmented with satellite data to get a holistic picture of the terrestrial water resources. For this reason, Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite mission was jointly implemented by NASA and German Aerospace Research Agency – DLR to map the variation of gravitational potential, which after removing atmospheric and oceanic effects is majorly caused by changes in Terrestrial Water Storage (TWS). India also faces the challenge of rejuvenating the fast deteriorating and exhausting water resources due to the rapid urbanization. In the present study we try to identify physically meaningful major spatial and temporal patterns or signals of changes in TWS for India. TWS data set over India for a period of 90 months, from June 2003 to December 2010 is use to isolate spatial and temporal signals using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), an extensively used method in meteorological studies. To achieve better disintegration of the data into more physically meaningful components we use a blind signal separation technique, Independent Component Analysis (ICA).

ID-Based Cryptography and Attribute-Based Cryptography

Identity and attribute-based cryptosystems have now become the most interesting research area in cryptography. Id-based and attribute-based cryptography both are improved variants of public-key cryptography. The identity-based cryptography is based on the identity of the user, such as email address, IP address, or mobile number. On the other hand, in attribute-based cryptography users encrypt and decrypt the message based on their attributes. Both IBE and ABE are based on mathematical concepts like Integer factorization, Quadratic Residues, Discrete logarithm Problems, Diffie-Hellman problems, and Bilinear pairings. IBE allows users to encrypt and decrypt messages using their identities whereas ABE provides fine-grain access control, it allows organizations and individuals to access data based on specific attributes or properties. IBE and ABE have various applications in cloud computing, digital signatures, and secure data sharing in IoT. Most ABE schemes based on access structure can be categorized as Key-Policy ABE (KP-ABE) and ciphertext-based ABE (CP-ABE).

An Efficient Predictive Analysis Model of Customer Purchase Behavior using Random Forest and XGBoost Algorithm

Predictive Analytics is a bough of the advanced analytics which has been used to make predictions about unknown future events. It uses many techniques from Data Mining and Statistics Modelling to analyze the current data. In Statistics Modeling, Regression Analysis algorithms are some of the most popular processes used in Machine Learning Models. Random Forest is a supervised learning algorithm which uses Ensemble Learning method to take advantage of Bootstrap Aggregating. XGBoost is a scalable & accurate implementation of Gradient Boosting Machines (GBMs). It has been proved to push the limits of computing power. It is built & developed for the sole purpose of model performance and computational speed. Customers are the basis for growth of any type of business. In the study of sales and purchase, it is vital & crucial to be able to predict the amount of purchase or sales to increase benefit by catering from specific products to specific demographics. Our prediction analysis model can effectively help to improve the performance and increase the profit margin. Moreover, it can generalize the prediction of purchase or sales figures in any market which depends on the customers' past purchase pattern or behavior.
