Summary The dynamic ranking, due to its increasing importance in many applications, is becoming crucial, especially with the collection of voluminous time‐dependent data. One such application is sports statistics, where dynamic ranking aids in forecasting the performance of competitive teams, drawing on historical and current data. Despite its usefulness, predicting and inferring rankings pose challenges in environments necessitating time‐dependent modelling. This paper introduces a spectral ranker called Kernel Rank Centrality, designed to rank items based on pairwise comparisons over time. The ranker operates via kernel smoothing in the Bradley–Terry model, utilising a Markov chain model. Unlike the maximum likelihood approach, the spectral ranker is nonparametric, demands fewer model assumptions and computations and allows for real‐time ranking. We establish the asymptotic distribution of the ranker by applying an innovative group inverse technique, resulting in a uniform and precise entrywise expansion. This result allows us to devise a new inferential method for predictive inference, previously unavailable in existing approaches. Our numerical examples showcase the ranker's utility in predictive accuracy and constructing an uncertainty measure for prediction, leveraging data from the National Basketball Association (NBA). The results underscore our method's potential compared with the gold standard in sports, the Arpad Elo rating system.
숏폼 콘텐츠는 오늘날 중국에서 가장 인기 있는 콘텐츠로 제작 과정에 사용되는 시각적 요소는 콘텐츠 창작자와 연구자로부터 많은 관심을 받고 있는 반면, 청각적 요소는 주목을 받지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 숏폼 콘텐츠에 활용된 청각적 요소를 통해 콘텐츠의 청각 미학을 탐구함으로써 숏폼 콘텐츠 창작자들이 청각적 요소의 중요성을 인식하여 보다 우수한 숏폼 콘텐츠를 제작하는 데 이론적 근거를 제공한다. 본 연구는 틱톡 플랫폼의 숏폼 영상을 연구 대상으로 삼아, 사례 분석과 내용 분석법을 활용해 심층적인 분석을 진행하였다. 먼저, 기호학적 관점에서 숏폼 영상의 청각적 영향력, 공간성 및 문화성과 같은 청각적 특징에 대해 분석하였다. 다음으로, 오늘날 숏폼 영상 속 청각 미학의 발전 현황을 살펴보고 그 특징에 대해 고찰하였다. 이에 본 연구는 청각미학 연구를 숏폼 영상 콘텐츠에 접목함으로써 숏폼 영상 콘텐츠에 적합한 새로운 연구 방향을 제시한다는 데 의의가 있다. Short video, as the most popular communication item in China, the visual elements in its content production have received widespread attention from creators and researchers, but auditory elements are often ignored.This paper focuses on the Auditory aesthetic in the creation of short video, namely audio, to explore the auditory aesthetic,looking forward to causing short video creators to attach importance to audio quality and create a higher -quality short video ecosystem. This paper takes the short video in the TikTok platform as the research object, and uses the content analysis method and combines the specific cases of short video for in-depth analysis. Firstly, point out the auditory characteristics of short video, such as the infectivity, spatial and cultural nature of short video hearing from the perspective of symboliology. Secondly, it summarizes the development trend of short video auditory aesthetics, such as constructing an immersive auditory field, paying attention to the expression of visual personality and breaking through the aesthetic dilemma of vulgarity. The innovation point of this paper is to put the research of auditory aesthetics into the research of short video content creation, which enriches the perspective of short video content research.
With the continuous change of society's demand structure for talents, colleges and universities are increasingly in need of timely and accurate information feedback on their talent training, and the high-quality development of graduate questionnaires has become an ever more important and urgent issue. Using structural equation model, this paper firstly conducts exploratory factor analysis to optimize the four dimensions of the questionnaire, and then conducts confirmatory factor analysis to correct the logical structure of the questionnaire questions, so as to achieve the overall optimization of the graduate satisfaction questionnaire, thereby providing an effective guarantee for improving the quality and effectiveness of the graduation survey.
When the data are stored in a distributed manner, direct application of traditional hypothesis testing procedures is often prohibitive due to communication costs and privacy concerns. This paper mainly develops and investigates a distributed two-node Kolmogorov-Smirnov hypothesis testing scheme, implemented by the divide-and-conquer strategy. In addition, this paper also provides a distributed fraud detection and a distribution-based classification for multi-node machines based on the proposed hypothesis testing scheme. The distributed fraud detection is to detect which node stores fraud data in multi-node machines and the distribution-based classification is to determine whether the multi-node distributions differ and classify different distributions. These methods can improve the accuracy of statistical inference in a distributed storage architecture. Furthermore, this paper verifies the feasibility of the proposed methods by simulation and real example studies.
Research purposes:The Qingdao-Lianyungang Railway is a main railway line to undertake the medium-distance and long-distance passenger traffic with the function of collection and dispersion of goods for the ports.The line's target speed is 200km /h,so its transport organization pattern is different from the traditional railway line for mixed passenger and freight traffic and the passenger dedicated line.The reasonable determination of the transport organization pattern of it directly relates the social and economic benefits of the line.Research conclusions:After comparison and analyses of the adaptabilities of various transport modes from the areas of the travel time,balance utilization of capacity and cost for buying vehicles,it is decided the Qingdao-Liangyungang Railway Line is a railway line for mixed passenger and freight traffic mainly with undertaking passenger traffic.For the passenger traffic,the EUM would be used along with the ordinary train.In this case,it can make full use of the transport capacity of the line to meet demands of the passenger flow and at the same time meet the demands of partial freight traffic.
Clathrin-mediated endocytosis, which depends on the AP2 complex, plays an essential role in many cellular and developmental processes in mammalian cells. However, the function of the AP2 complex in plants remains largely unexplored. Here, we show in Arabidopsis that the AP2 σ subunit mutant (ap2 σ) displays various developmental defects that are similar to those of mutants defective in auxin transport and/or signaling, including single, trumpet-shaped and triple cotyledons, impaired vascular pattern, reduced vegetative growth, defective silique development and drastically reduced fertility. We demonstrate that AP2 σ is closely associated and physically interacts with the clathrin light chain (CLC) in vivo using fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy (FCCS), protein proximity analyses and co-immunoprecipitation assays. Using variable-angle total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (VA-TIRFM), we show that AP2 σ-mCherry spots colocalize with CLC-EGFP at the plasma membrane, and that AP2 σ-mCherry fluorescence appears and disappears before CLC-EGFP fluorescence. The density and turnover rate of the CLC-EGFP spots are significantly reduced in the ap2 σ mutant. The internalization and recycling of the endocytic tracer FM4-64 and the auxin efflux carrier protein PIN1 are also significantly reduced in the ap2 σ mutant. Further, the polar localization of PIN1-GFP is significantly disrupted during embryogenesis in the ap2 σ mutant. Taken together, our results support an essential role of AP2 σ in the assembly of a functional AP2 complex in plants, which is required for clathrin-mediated endocytosis, polar auxin transport and plant growth regulation.
