Background: Since the association of homocysteine and clinical results of observational studies are controversial on non-alcoholic fatty liver related disease, we compute the two-sample Mendelian Randomization (MR) study. Objective: To evaluate whether the plasma level of homocysteine has an effect on the risk of Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and Cirrhosis after its progress, we investigated the causal relationships between plasma homocysteine and the three non-alcoholic fatty liver related diseases mentioned above. Design and methods: Summary estimates were elicited from the inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method through 12 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) which related to the plasma homocysteine, the SNPs were obtained from a large genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of 44,147 European participants. And the summary statistics for the latest and largest GWAS datasets for NAFLD (307576 in total and 1,578 cases), NASH (309055 in total and 99 cases) and Cirrhosis (306145 in total and 826 cases) were collected from Ristey FinnGen website where the association of genetic variations with blood metabolite levels was conducted using comprehensive metabolite profiling. The study was performed through two-sample MR method. Results: The result indicated that the plasma homocysteine is not significantly associated with NAFLD, and its progression, NASH and Cirrhosis. Conclusion: The evidence in this study is quite deficient to support the causal association of the individual plasma homocysteine with NAFLD, NASH and Cirrhosis, the putative of associations is not exist.
Abstract A number of probabilistic integrity codes (PICs) have emerged for assessing the operational safety of pressure components, such as ProLOCA, PROST, xLPR, etc. These codes can calculate the failure probability of pressure components directly based on probability theory and structural calculations. However, despite rigorous analysis, the credibility of their calculation results is still questionable due to a lack of verifiability, which hinders their wide acceptance. Therefore, the validation of failure probabilities calculated by PICs is a state-of-the-art challenge currently. In response to this issue, this paper proposes a mathematical iterative method to make the PCI validation achievable. The method establishes a mathematical iterative method based on the secant method to indicate the credibility of PIC. It is grounded in the principle that the failure probability Pr should be 50 % if the load L follows a symmetric distribution with a symmetry axis of Lr, and the other parameters remain deterministic in the structure’s critical failure state, characterized by parameters [Lr, ar1, ar2, ar3, ..., arn]. The validity of the method will be assessed by applying it to the calculation PIACACP. And its prediction outcomes and iteration procedure were analyzed to determine the method’s applicability and rationality.
Knowledge network reconstruction matters the innovation capability and developing orientation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). We explore the paths of knowledge network reconstruction for SMEs in the manufacturing industry and the impact of multilevel factors on these paths. This research adopts the method of fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) on a sample of 287 manufacturing SMEs in China. The results show two types of paths – Capability & Information driven and Resource driven, which illustrate the importance of resource acquisition capability, and fsQCA enables the examination of configurational effects of different antecedents. This research integrates the views and factors from different levels of knowledge network reconstruction and discusses the conflicting arguments about factors in the existing literature. Furthermore, drawing on a configurational approach provides a more fitting path according to the situations of different enterprises, instead of a thorough investment.
In order to study the influence of abilities of suppliers and different dimensions of reputation on civil aircraft brand capability, influence and performance, we took the domestic commercial enterprises as investigation object and conceptual model is established. Then, questionnaire survey was conducted to the civil aircraft manufacturing enterprise, using the statistical software SPSS13.0 and Lisrel 8.70 to establish structural equation model. Results show that in the civil aircraft manufacturing industry market, suppliers' ability and suppliers' reputation has a direct and significant positive effect on brand capability and brand influence, brand capability and brand influence has a direct and significant positive effect on brand performance.
Objective: To analyze the characteristics, dynamic changes, and outcomes of the first imaging manifestations of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 in our hospital. Methods: Computed tomography (CT) findings of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 who tested positive by the nucleic acid test in our hospital were selected, mainly focusing on the morphology, distribution characteristics, and dynamic changes of the first CT findings. Results: 3 patients with severe pneumonia were older, with one aged 80. The first chest CT examination for all 3 patients differed. Imaging showed a leafy distribution of consolidation, primarily affecting the lower lobes of both lungs and extending subpleurally. A grid-like pattern was observed, along with changes in the consolidation and air bronchogram. These changes had slower absorption, especially in patients with underlying diseases. Conclusion: CT manifestations of severe COVID-19 have specific characteristics and the analysis of their characteristics and dynamic changes provide valuable insights for clinical treatment.
