Cloud gaming will make high quality gaming more accessible to everyone. It not only relieves users of the constant need to upgrade their hardware, but also makes it possible to enjoy high quality gaming on a variety of devices. Although cloud gaming alleviates some of the hardware constraints associated with end user devices, it does come at a cost - an array of performance issues such as increased bandwidth usage, degradation in visual quality, and higher interactive latency. In previous work, we proposed a flexible cloud gaming system that utilizes different combinations of local and remote resources that trades off different performance requirements. A 3D image warping technique is used to help reduce or even eliminate interactive latency by making use of the most recently received residual frame. However, due to occlusion effect and insufficient sampling, some of the pixels will not get the residual information needed to recover their original values. In this paper, we address this issue by applying 3D image warping to multiple recently received and buffered residual frames. Our experimental results show that the impact on visual quality can be positive or negative depending on factors such as interactive latency and base Level of Detail (LOD) models used on the client side.
The robot football game requires several robots to accomplish task in an real-time antagonism environment, which provides a good platform for studying multi-agent cooperation. This paper applied a real-time multi-agent cooperation model to achieve teamwork in robot football game, the concrete contents include: description of strategy, cooperation based on strategy, formation and termination of cooperation and execution of cooperation.
Obesity, a global epidemic, is an independent risk factor for the occurrence and development of a variety of tumors, such as breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and colorectal cancer. Adipocytes are important endocrine cells in the tumor microenvironment of obesity-related tumors, which can secrete a variety of adipokines (such as leptin, adiponectin, estrogen, resistin, MIF and MCP-1, etc.), among which leptin, adiponectin and estrogen are the most in-depth and valuable ones. These adipokines are closely related to tumorigenesis and the progression of tumors. In recent years, more and more studies have shown that under chronic inflammatory conditions such as obesity, adipocytes secrete more adipokines to promote the tumorigenesis and development of tumors. However, it is worth noting that although adiponectin is also secreted by adipocytes, it has an anti-tumor effect, and can cross-talk with other adipokines (such as leptin and estrogen) and insulin to play an anti-tumor effect together. In addition, obesity is the main cause of insulin resistance, which can lead to the increase of the expression levels of insulin and insulin-like growth factor (IGF). As important regulators of blood glucose and lipid metabolism, insulin and IGF also play an important role in the progress of obesity related tumors. In view of the important role of adipokines secreted by adipocytes and insulin/IGF in tumors, this article not only elaborates leptin, adiponectin and estrogen secreted by adipocytes and their mechanism of action in the development of obesity- related tumors, but also introduces the relationship between insulin/IGF, a regulator of lipid metabolism, and obesity related tumors. At the same time, it briefly describes the cancer-promoting mechanism of resistin, MIF and MCP-1 in obesity-related tumors, and finally summarizes the specific treatment opinions and measures for various adipokines and insulin/insulin-like growth factors in recent years.
The rapid development of internet finance has caused great impact on the current business model of commercial banks, therefore, how to transform the business model of commercial banks and meet the challenges from internet finance become an urgent issue that needs to be addressed facing all commercial banks. This paper describes the status quo of the development of internet finance, internet financial functions, and the risks faced by commercial banks, finally proposes corresponding countermeasures for the current situation of commercial banks.
The compound 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) is a secondary explosive widely used worldwide for both military and civil purposes. As a result, residual TNT has been detected as an environmental pollutant in both soil and groundwater. The authors have isolated several microbial strains from soil contaminated with TNT by enrichment culture techniques using TNT as a carbon, nitrogen, and energy source. The contaminated soil contained approximately 1860 ppm TNT measured by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The initial identification of these isolates was determined by 16S rRNA gene comparison. The isolates mainly included species belonging to the genus Pseudomonas. Two strains (Pseudomonas putida strain TP1 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain TP6) were selected for further examination. Both strains demonstrated the ability to grow on the medium containing TNT as a carbon, energy, and nitrogen source and also clearly demonstrated the ability to degrade TNT. More than 90% of the TNT in the growth medium was degraded by both strains after 22 d incubation, as determined by HPLC. Additionally, the resting cells of P. putida TP1 and P. aeruginosa TP6 both significantly displayed the ability to transform (metabolize) TNT.
[Objective]To discuss the pathological typing of posterior longitudinal ligament(PLL) in cervical spondylotic myelopathy.[Method]Data of pathological typing and resection methods of PLL were reviewed in 87 patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy.[Result]The degeneration of the posterior longitudinal ligament(DPLL) was divided into single-DPLL(n=34,39.1%) and proliferation-DPLL(n=53,60.9%) by the results of resecton and pathological studies. The proliferation-DPLL was subdivided into hyperplasy-DPLL(n=26,29.9%),accretion-DPLL(n=12,13.8%)and ossification-DPLL(n=15,17.2%).[Conclusion]The posterior longitudinal ligament can thoroughly be resected in cervical spondylotic myelopathy combined with single-DPLL or with hyperplasy-DPLL.In cervical spondylotic myelopathy combined with accretion-DPLL or ossification-DPLL,complete decompression can be obtained by isolating the accretion and the ossification-chondrification of DPLL.
We present the first open source cloud gaming system, called GamingAnywhere. In addition to its openness, we have designed, GamingAnywhere for high extensibility, portability, and reconfigurability. We implemented it on Windows, Linux, OS X, and Android. We conducted extensive experiments to evaluate its performance. Our experimental results indicate that GamingAnywhere is efficient, scalable, adaptable to network conditions, and achieves high responsiveness and streaming quality. GamingAnywhere can be employed by researchers, game developers, service providers, and end users for setting up cloud gaming testbeds, which we believe, will stimulate more research into innovations for cloud gaming systems and applications.
Displays without associated computing devices are increasingly more popular, and the binding between computing devices and displays is no longer one-to-one but more dynamic and adaptive. Screencast technologies enable such dynamic binding over ad hoc one-hop networks or Wi-Fi access points. In this paper, we design and conduct the first detailed measurement study on the performance of state-of-the-art screencast technologies. By varying the user demands and network conditions, we find that Splashtop and Miracast outperform other screencast technologies under typical setups. Our experiments also show that the screencast technologies either: (i) do not dynamically adjust bitrate or (ii) employ a suboptimal adaptation strategy. The developers of future screencast technologies are suggested to pay more attentions on the bitrate adaptation strategy, e.g., by leveraging cross-layer optimization paradigm.
