The progress and development of social civilization and economic will promote the advantage of materials science and engineering, while, it will put forward the corresponding requirements for talents. As the cradle of training talents, universities, in making talent cultivation plan and scheme, must follow the social demand. The construction of curriculum system should ensure that personnel training knowledge structure must adapt to social requirements. The curriculum should reflect the features of the development of the material science. The arrangement of teaching content should keep pace with the development of material science dynamics. The practical teaching content and arrangement should match with training goal.

Formation of Reversed Austenite in High Temperature Tempering Process and its Effect on Mechanical Properties of Cr15 Super Martensitic Stainless Steel Alloyed with Copper

Abstract Formation mechanism of the reversed austenite of Cr15 super martensitic stainless steel (SMSS) alloyed with copper after high temperature tempering was investigated by means of thermo‐calc software, transmission electron microscope (TEM), and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The mechanical properties of the SMSS were also tested. The experimental results show that the reversed austenite with low dislocation density is formed at high temperature tempering processing. The transformation of the martensite to reversed austenite is a diffused phase transformation, and the growth of the reversed austenite is closely related to the diffusion process of Ni. The bulk reversed austenite with large amount of stacking faults is formed with the increase of the tempering temperature. The volume fraction of reversed austenite increases at first and then decreases with increasing tempering temperature, and the maximum amount of the reversed austenite is obtained at 650°C. The reversed austenite is unstable at the tempering temperature above 650°C and the martensitic phase transformation will occur at the following cooling process. The mechanical properties of Cr15 super martensitic stainless steel are significantly influenced by the volume fraction of reversed austenite.

Reverse Transformation Mechanism of Martensite to Austenite in 00Cr15Ni7Mo2WCu2 Super Martensitic Stainless Steel

The reverse transformation mechanism of martensite to austenite in 00Cr15Ni7Mo2WCu2 super martensitic stainless steel has been studied. The experimental results indicated that the volume fraction of reversed austenite in 00Cr15Ni7Mo2WCu2 super martensitic stainless steel increased first and then decreased with increasing tempering temperature over a range of 550–750 °C after quenching at 1050 °C. The reversed austenite formed along the martensite lath boundaries. When the tempering temperature was below 700 °C, the reversed austenite grew with a Ni‐enrichment; when the temperature was above 700 °C, the reversed austenite re‐dissolved and transformed to martensite and a part of the reversed austenite divided the original wider martensitic laths into a number of thinner ones. The basic mechanism for formation of the reversed austenite is diffusion in 00Cr15Ni7Mo2WCu2 super martensitic stainless steel.

THE BULK NANOCRYSTALLINE ZN PRODUCED BY MECHANICAL ATTRITION

The purpose of experiment was to produce bulk nanocrystalline Zn by mechanical attrition. The bulk nanocrystalline Zn produced by mechanical attrition was studied. The microstructural evolution during cryomilling and subsequent room temperature milling was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In this paper, Nanocrystalline Zn was produced by insitu consolidation of Zn elemental powder using mechanical attrition at liquid nitrogen and room temperature. For the samples studied, the longest elongation of 65% and highest stress of 200 MPa is obtained in nanocrystalline Zn during tensile testing at the condition of strain rate (10 -3 sec -1 ) and 20°C which is equal to 0.43 T m (T m is the melting temperature of pure Zn ).

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to develop a theoretical model of bubble size distribution in a gas-liquid mixture for a range of gas flow rates. Population balance mathematical analysis was applied and probability functions describing bubble coalescence and breakup were used for bubble size distribution model development. The model can predict bubble size distribution at any height in a gas-liquid mixture once the size distribution at a reference height is known. The model is important for studying the use of a controlled gas-liquid mixture as a specific gravity separation medium for sorting of fruits and vegetables. The model was experimentally tested and found to be in good agreement with measured bubble size distributions (R^ = 0.87).
