Transport evidence for the surface state and spin-phonon interaction in FeTe$_{0.5}$Se$_{0.5}$

The iron chalcogenides have been proved to be intrinsic topological superconductors to implement quantum computation because of their unique electronic structures. The topologically nontrivial surface states of FeTe$_{0.5}$Se$_{0.5}$ have been predicted by several calculations and then confirmed by high-resolution photoemission and scanning tunneling experiments. However, so far, the shreds of the electrical transport evidence for topological surface states are still in absence. By carrying out electrical transport experiments, we observe a topological transition with a nonlinear Hall conductivity and simultaneous linear magnetoresistance near the superconducting transition temperature. Furthermore, we observe a sign reversal of the Hall coefficient accompanied by a concurrently softening of the ${A}_{1g}$ phonon mode at about 40 K, indicating a nematic transition. The synchronized phonon softening with nematicity manifests an enhanced fluctuation state through spin-phonon interaction. Our results solidly corroborate the topological surface states of FeTe$_{0.5}$Se$_{0.5}$ and provide an understanding of the mechanism of the superconductivity in iron chalcogenides.

<title>Fabrication of fused silica phase masks by reactive ion etching</title>

A novel method for producing durable fused silica self- interference phase grating photomasks is described in this paper. The gratin pattern is formed into AZ-1350 photoresist by 325nm He-Cd laser optical holographic exposure and is transferred to a thin metal layer via focused ion beam lithography, then reactive ion etching in CHF₃/O₂ plasma is used to etch the fused silica substrate. Inspection performed by scanning electron microscopy shows that fabricated silica phase masks are perfect and no reactive deposition is formed int he grating grooves.

ARMAX: a new cinema technology for casting both common and VR-based interactive films

This paper presents a new cinema technology---ARMAX, which can not only cast common films and stereoscopic films in a high quality, but also be compatible with VR-based interactive films (except game films). Three key technologies in ARMAX are highlighted, as well as the methods of facilitating interaction between the audiences and 3D roles by using out-of-screen distance and highly precise positioning technology. Then, we discuss several problems currently encountered by ARMAX. Finally, we conclude the paper with some development trends of ARMAX in the near future.

Algorithm method of correlation position for automatic alignment in microcircuit fabrication

A new algorithm method used to determine the correlation position between two marks for automatic alignment in microcircuit fabrication has been developed. This algorithm maintains the correlation technique advantage such as its high immunity to noise and poor contrast in the mark signal. The alignment overlay precision achieved is better than one pixel. By using this algorithm method, the 486-33PC computer takes about 4 s to determine the correlation position without any special hardware. This article describes the method along with giving experimental results.

Bandpass filter by a stretch and double-exposure technique

We fabricated a bandpass filter based on Moire Bragg grating in fiber with a uniform phase mask. We employed a stretch and two-exposure technique, in which the fiber was exposed to UV light from a KrF excimer through a phase mask and then the fiber is stretched and given another exposure at the same region. Due to the stretch, the periods of these two grating are slightly different, and there is a transmission between two reflection peaks at the Bragg wavelength of these two gratings. Applying different stretch can control the bandpass width of the filter. We measured the stretch characterization of a uniform Bragg grating and found the Bragg wavelength of the grating shifts linearly with the stretched length. We theoretically analyzed the grating structure and its reflection spectrum. The filter's characteristics can be optimized by choosing appropriate parameters. We will give a theoretical discussion concerning which parameters and how they affect the filter's operation.

Analysis and Calculation of the Working Process of Single-screw Compressor

The process of single screw compressor is analyzed. According to the characteristic of clearance leakage between the screw and wheel,a flow model of compressible fluid in a convergent nozzle is used to simulate a leakage process of the fluid and the calculating method of the insulation efficiency and the volume efficiency of single screw compressor is obtained.

<title>Analysis of dispersion compensation using linearly chirped fiber gratings with uniform coupling profile</title>

The use of linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings with uniform coupling profile for compensating the dispersion of 100 km standard optical fiber link at 1550 nm are investigated theoretically for practical grating fabrication consideration. Numerical results show that a 40 mm long linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating with uniform coupling profile and optimal coupling strength can almost perfectly compensate the dispersion of 100 km standard communication fiber link up to 20 GHz. The dispersion delay curve of the fiber grating exhibits certain oscillation feature, and this does not significantly affect its dispersion compensation ability according to our calculations.

Microvascular decompression for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm: clinical outcomes related to pre-operative magnetic resonance imaging

Objective To investigate the role of preoperative three dimensional magnetic resonance imaging in predicting the clinical outcomes of microvascular decompression for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.Methods Fifty-seven patients with trigeminal neuralgia and 18 with hemifacial spasm,admitted to our hospital from January 2008 to December 2012,were included in our study.All the patients were performed 3D time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography (3D-TOF-MRA) prior to microvascular decompression,and 6 of them also performed 3D fast imaging employing steady-state acquisition (3D-FIESTA) MRI.In all patients,the presence of vascular contact,offenders were determined by 3D-TOF-MRA and 3D-FIESTA MRI,and the preoperative findings were compared with the surgical findings and clinical outcomes.Results Between the symptomatic sides and asymptomatic sides,the difference of vascular contact manifested by MRI was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The coincidence of MR imaging and sight during the operation was similar.Conclusion Preoperative 3D-TOF-MRA and 3D-FIESTA can identify the relationship between the nerve and adjacent vessels in patients with trigeminal neuralgia or hemifacial spasm,which assists in preoperative planning and improve the operation effect.
