D-S Evidence Theory in the Mountainous Gas Pipeline Evaluation of Application

Most of china natural gas pipeline passed through a variety of geological environment, the pipeline accidents happened frequently caused by landslides and collapse. The reliability of the current research on mountain pipe buried natural gas pipeline is limited to defects, almost empty, and on the judgment of the hazard is confined to the traditional reliability evaluation method. This paper uses D-S evidence theory to the mountain pipe for reliability analysis, reference fuzzy data theory, establish the model of geological disasters natural gas pipeline, and deal with the inconsistency for the same evaluation objects, make evaluation has more unity, and avoid the expertise and experience of the one-sided and subjective judgments brought results bias.

Rapid detection of neutralising acid adulterants in raw milk using a milk component analyser and chemometrics

This study focused on the development of a method for the rapid detection of acid-neutralising adulterants in raw milk using a milk composition analyser. Qualitative analysis for the discrimination of different acid-neutralising acid adulterants in raw milk and quantification of NaSCN in adulterated raw milk were conducted, combined with chemometrics. The results showed that the milk component analyser combined with principal component analysis (PCA) could judge whether raw milk samples were adulterated but cannot identify the types of adulterated substances. Although partial least squares discrimination analysis (PLS-DA) can distinguish some adulterated raw milk samples, the accuracy rate was only 56.3%; the random forest (RF) model could recognise most adulterated raw milk samples with an accuracy rate of 97.5% and the F1-score was 0.9638. In the prediction model of NaSCN adulteration concentration in raw milk constructed by RF, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.9889, and the root means square error (RMSE) was 3.28 × 10−4, suggesting a high prediction performance of the model. The effectiveness of the method for the detection of real samples in practical production was also proved. Based on the above results, it could conclude that the milk component analyser, combined with chemometrics, effectively distinguished acid-neutralising adulterants in raw milk. These findings provide a reference for the rapid detection of adulterants and the quality control of raw milk.

Stress Analysis of Gas Pipeline Under Seismic Action in Tunnel

Nowadays, the stress analysis mostly aimed at general buried pipelines. And few of the gas pipelines in tunnel (especially under the seismic action) were analyzed. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the stress distribution of gas pipeline under seismic action in tunnel. In this paper, CEASAR II software was used to establish the stress model of China-Myanmar XX tunnel pipeline under seismic action, based on the seismic spectrum. A pipeline dynamic stress analysis was performed by inputting spectral parameters of gas pipeline, and the results indicated whether or not the pipeline displacement and stress under a violent seismic action would conform to specification. We came to that: (1) In general, the most dangerous section of the pipe is the bend. Measures to control stress should be taken to reduce the stress. (2) Axial seismic action and comprehensive seismic action effected by greater impact on pipelines. Therefore, the stress variation at the axial seismic and comprehensive seismic action should be focused on. (3) Through the displacement checking of the pipeline, the effect of axial seismic action and comprehensive seismic action to displacement was larger. (4) Unlike buried pipeline, the axial displacement was large compared to other two direction displacement. And strengthening the monitoring efforts was necessary.

A Formal Aspect-Oriented Method for Modeling and Analyzing Adaptive Resource Scheduling in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has attracted much interest recently from both industry and academia. However, the scale and highly dynamic nature of cloud application imposes significant new challenges to resource management, and efficient resource scheduling schemes are highly demanded. In this paper, we propose a systematic method to address the reliability, running time, and failure processing of resource scheduling in cloud computing. A reflection mechanism is used to abstract the resource scheduling process as a metaobject. Petri nets are used to construct the base layer model, meta layer model, metaobject protocol, and other components, thus forming the resource scheduling model. The adaptive resource scheduling strategy is converted into CTL formulas, and the properties are analyzed. Meanwhile, an enforcement algorithm is proposed, which can guarantee the correct behavior of cloud computing while meeting the required reliability within deadline constraints. The operational semantics and related theories of Petri nets help prove its effectiveness and correctness. We have also performed a series of simulations to evaluate our approach. Results show that it can help reveal the structural and behavioral characteristics of cloud computing and improve the efficiency of resource management.

Dynamic Trust-Based Resource Allocation Mechanism for Secure Edge Computing

Edge computing plays an important role in processing and storing data. By offloading tasks to the edge server, mobile users can access necessary computing resources on demand. However, security of edge computing service is still a major concern. This paper proposes an edge computing resource allocation mechanism based on dynamic trust. First, security problems due to lack of reliability in the resource allocation process are solved based on the trust mechanism. This mechanism considers the resource allocation process between the mobile user node and the edge server as a transaction, according to the trading behavior in the transaction process of server to give its corresponding trust. Second, a trust mechanism is used for dynamic credit granting. Mobile users with similar behaviors form a group, where a representative is elected to trade resources and bundle information into a block and attach it on the chain. At the same time, the delay problem is added as a constraint to the trust calculation. Finally, the simulation experiment shows that the mechanism improves security of edge computing.

Mutation with Local Searching and Elite Inheritance Mechanism in Multi-Objective Optimization Algorithm: A Case Study in Software Product Line

An effective method for addressing the configuration optimization problem (COP) in Software Product Lines (SPLs) is to deploy a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm, for example, the state-of-the-art SATIBEA. In this paper, an improved hybrid algorithm, called SATIBEA-LSSF, is proposed to further improve the algorithm performance of SATIBEA, which is composed of a multi-children generating strategy, an enhanced mutation strategy with local searching and an elite inheritance mechanism. Empirical results on the same case studies demonstrate that our algorithm significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art for four out of five SPLs on a quality Hypervolume indicator and the convergence speed. To verify the effectiveness and robustness of our algorithm, the parameter sensitivity analysis is discussed and three observations are reported in detail.

A Method for Modeling and Analyzing Fault-Tolerant Service Composition

Reliability is a key issue of the service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is widely employed in distributed systems such as e-commerce and e-government. Redundancy based technologies are usually employed for building reliable service composition on top of unreliable Web services. This paper proposes a strategy for modeling and analyzing fault tolerant service composition. The strategy consists of service selection mechanism, service synchronization mechanism and task exception mechanism. Petri nets are used to construct different components of service composition. Once the model is constructed, theories of Petri nets help prove the consistency of processing states and reliability of the strategy. The corresponding enforcement method for constructing fault-tolerant service composition is proposed. Experiments are conducted to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the fault tolerant strategy.
