A Study to Assess the Knowledge and Practice Regarding Environmental Sanitation among Sanitation Workers of GNSU, Jamuhar, Rohtas Multicloud Based Backup and Disaster Recovery Service

Environmental sanitation is a set of actions or a fundamental process of collecting and safely disposing all kinds of waste within the environment with the intention of protecting and promoting the individual health and quality of life of communities. Environmental sanitation generally includes the provision of facilities and services for the safe disposal of waste, the maintenance of hygienic conditions and the prevention of diseases. Objectives: To assess the knowledge and practice regarding environmental sanitation among sanitary workers of GNSU, Jamuhar, Sasaram. To find out association with selected demographical variables and knowledge & practice regarding sanitation. And total sample of the research is 30. Methodology: The research approach was quantitative approach and research design is non-experimental research design- descriptive design. The study was conduct on sanitary worker who are working in GNSU campus Jamuhar, Sasaram. Convenience sampling technique adopt. Number of sample size is 30, those who are working as sanitary worker. Data collection was done by the survey by the researcher. Data was analysed with quantitative and inferential statistics came up with the following findings. Result: The result show that majority of sample (16.66%) sanitary workers have poor knowledge, (63.33%) sanitary workers were having average knowledge and (20%) sanitary workers were having good knowledge. Recommendation: The findings of the present study can be used as a guide of future research. Interventional study can be undertaken to give knowledge to the sanitary workers. A study can be conducted in preventing aspect health issue. To make the recommendation to the government to arrange compulsory medical check-up on the yearly basis for sanitary workers. Conclusion: The present study was aimed at assessing the level of knowledge among sanitary workers. The Relevant data collected statically based in the objectives of the study. There 30 sample (16.66%) workers were having poor knowledge, (63.33%) workers were having average knowledge and (20%) workers were having good knowledge. By assessing knowledge level of workers, we are going to know that majority of the workers having average knowledge regarding environment sanitation. Statically there is no any significant association was found.

Effect of Modified Atmosphere Packaging on Maintenance of Quality in Apple

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on the quality of 'Red Delicious' and 'Golden Delicious' apples. Freshly harvested fruits were wiped clean and (25 μm thick) with varying number of perforations and stored in cardboard boxes at ambient temperature. 'Golden Delicious' showed higher incidence of bitter pit as compared to 'Red Delicious' apples. MAP proved effective in controlling the bitter pit disorder and in maintenance of quality. The least incidence of bitter pit in 'Golden Delicious' was recorded with T4 (30 x 2 mm perforation) and T3 (20 x 2 mm) treatment in 'Red Delicious' apples. However, MAP retained more freshness in 'Golden Delicious' than in 'Red Delicious'.

PROGNOSTIC FACTORS AFFECTING SURGICAL OUTCOME IN DEPRESSED SKULL FRACTURE PATIENTS AT A TERTIARY CARE CENTRE IN NORTH INDIA

BACKGROUND:Head injury is an important public health problem today and a major worldwide health and social issue. There has been a substantial increase in the number of cases with head injuries in the past few decades especially in congested cities which has simultaneously led to increase in the annual rate of depressed skull fractures AIM AND OBJECTIVES: Identify the prognostic factors which affect surgical outcome in depressed skull fracture patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS: study was conducted in P.G. Department of surgery, S.R.N. Hospital associated with M.L.N Medical College, Prayagraj for a period of 12 months. Approval from the ethical committee and written and informed consent either from patient or their legal heirs was obtained before starting the study. Outcome was measured using Glasgow outcome scale score at discharge and divided into two groups good outcomes (GOS4,5) and poor outcomes (GOS1,2,3) RESULTS: total of 97 patients underwent surgical intervention during the study period. A total of 80 patients, i.e., 82.47% of study participants had a favorable Glasgow outcome scale score while 17 patients (17.53%) had an unfavorable Glasgow outcome score. GCS score at admission: Around 48.45% of the study participants had a GCS of 13–15, and 38.15% had a GCS score of 9–12 and 13.4% had a GCS score 8 at admission. Better GCS ≤ score at admission with minimal pre-hospital delay was found to be correlated statistically with better outcome (p<0.05).Patients with non reactive pupil and anisocoric pupil at admission had more unfavorable outcome as 10.31% and 5.16% respectively while patient will responsive pupil at admission had better surgical outcome with 2.06% as unfavourable outcome. There was signicant statistical association between pupillary response and surgical outcome. There was positive statistical association between pre-hospital delay and surgical outcome of patient.

COVID-19 pandemic: Trend analysis with respect to District Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, Northern India

With 1st case being reported in Wuhan city of China in December 2019, COVID-19 infection cases made their way to every corner of the world. Then, on January 07, 2020, laboratory results led to pneumonia being named as COVID-19. Scant data is available from Northern India, thus to reveal the trend of COVID-19 infection since last year of COVID-19 pandemic onset, this study took shape. The unit of analysis of our study was District Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. Till February 05, 2021, a total of 4625 cases of COVID-19 virus were reported in District Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. Negative history of close contact with COVID-19 patient (66.1%) constituted the most common exposure, majority (84.4%) were asymptomatic and comorbidities were present in 68 (1.5%). COVID-19 infection was more prevalent among younger age group, with higher male predominance, with comorbid being at higher risk, hence most stringent measures must be adopted.

Effect of some Bio and Organic Nutrient Compounds Application on Vegetative Growth Measurements on Shoot and Root of some Kashmiri Plum

The current study was conducted on fruit trees and chest kernels on Kashmiri Plum cv. on two consecutive occasions throughout 2018 and 2019.Two experiments were performed to address: the effect of other biological and environmental factors on fruit trees (experiments, 1) and the bio-effect of other Plum roots on new growing plants (trial, II).In initial foliar spray with Bio magic, Hammer and peptone treatment (such as bio and organic nutritive compounds): 1foliar spray with Bio magic 7.5g / L, 2-foliar spray with pepper drop 0.5g / L, 3foliar spray with Hammer 1.5g / L, 4-drench application drain with Hammer 1.5g / L, 5-Bio magic foliar spray (7.5g / L) + Hammer soil drench (1.5g / L) and 6 -Peptone foliar spray (0.5g / L) + Hammer ground water (1.5g / L), with the exception of tap water as a control force is investigated for its impact on vegetable growth, fruit and nutritional status.The data obtained showed that all the treatments that investigated increased growth limits (number, height, thickness of developed shoots, number of leaves / area and leaf), and percentage of fruit (set, storage and rot), yield / tree and fruit & chemical properties were also improved.

Development of Standard Manufacturing Process of Joshanda

Unani System of Medicine (USM) has many safe and effective single drugs as well as compound formulations, which are commonly used in four forms solid (Hab, Qurs, Safoof, Kushta etc.); semisolid (Majoon, Laooq, Marham/Zamad etc.); liquid (Joshanda, Sharbat, Sheera, Rooh, Tila etc.) and gaseous (Bakhoor, Inkabab, Shamoom etc.). Joshanda, a preparation, in which Unani crude drugs are frequently used for treatment of common cold, catarrh, cough, associated respiratory distress and fever etc. Different Joshande are available in various Qarabadeen. In this paper a comprehensive summary has been made about various Joshande, about the drug and water ratio, yield of Joshanda and therapeutic uses of various Joshande, which is mentioned in different reference books of Unani System of Medicine. Documented evidence regarding their standard procedures of preparation/process standardization is meagre. Some important points are not specifically given, in the case of preparation of Joshandai.e quantity of heat and duration of heat. Therefore in the present study, apart from literature survey, one experimental study was also done by preparing different batches of Joshanda in different volumes (one litre, five litres and ten litres) at specific temperatures and observed the duration of heating and net volume of product left was also observed after giving suitable temperature. The Immunomodulatory CEA Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6/CD66c) Is a Protein Receptor for the Influenza A Virus

To establish a productive infection in host cells, viruses often use one or multiple host membrane glycoproteins as their receptors. For Influenza A virus (IAV) such a glycoprotein receptor has not been described, to date. Here we show that IAV is using the host membrane glycoprotein CD66c as a receptor for entry into human epithelial lung cells. Neuraminidase (NA), a viral spike protein, binds to CD66c on the cell surface during IAV entry into the host cells. Lung cells overexpressing CD66c showed an increase in virus binding and subsequent entry into the cell. Upon comparison, CD66c demonstrated higher binding capacity than other membrane glycoproteins (EGFR and DC-SIGN) reported earlier to facilitate IAV entry into host cells. siRNA mediated knockdown of CD66c from lung cells inhibited virus binding on cell surface and entry into cells. Blocking CD66c by antibody on the cell surface resulted in decreased virus entry. We found that CD66c is a specific glycoprotein receptor for influenza A virus that did not affect entry of non-IAV RNA virus (Hepatitis C virus). Finally, IAV pre-incubated with recombinant CD66c protein when administered intranasally in mice showed decreased cytopathic effects in mice lungs. This publication is the first to report CD66c (Carcinoembryonic cell adhesion molecule 6 or CEACAM6) as a glycoprotein receptor for Influenza A virus.
