Synthesis and Properties Research of Dy3+-Eu3+ Co-Doped Bbibaz Luminescent Glass for White Led Applications

a series of B2O3-Bi2O3-BaO-ZnO luminescent glasses with different concentrations of Dy3+ doping and Dy3+-Eu3+ co-doping was planned by the high-temperature melt method. Their structure, chemical stability, glowing properties, energy transfer, and temperature-dependent emission spectra were also investigated. Under various monitor wavelengths, the visible emitted spectrum of the Dy3+-Eu3+ co-doping luminescent glass was obtained. The presence of Dy3+→Eu3+ energy transfer in the glass was demonstrated by emission spectra and fluorescence decay curve analyses. At the excitation of 384 nm, better white color emitting was noticed in 38.85B2O3-25Bi2O3-5BaO-30ZnO glass doped with Dy2O3 doping concentration of 0.75 mol% and doped with 0.4 mol% Eu2O3 with a CIE of (0.3306, 0.342), and the glass has an ΔE of 0.221 eV, which suggests that the synthesis glass has the prospective to be applied in white light solid-state lighting. In addition, the Dy3+-Eu3+ co-doped B2O3-Bi2O3-BaO-ZnO glass could achieve tunable emission moving from cooling white to heating white to an orange-red light under 390 nm excitation. The adjustable range of the glass's CCT values has been expanded, allowing for arbitrary tuning between approximately 2004 K to 6380 K, which adapts to different application fields.

Study on preparation and properties of inorganic-organic infrared window composite materials

In this work, excellent property infrared (IR) window composite materials was obtained by inorganic-organic compound method. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) observation found that inorganic particles were distributed uniformly in the organic matrix, and good combination between inorganic and organic phase were obtained. The measurement of vitrification point showed that glass temperature of composite materials were higher than that of pure plastic matrix, so the temperature range of application of this kind of composite materials was expanded and its transmittivity was about 80% when wave length was before 30μm.

Cerebral infarct induced by severe leptospirosis-a case report and literature review

Abstract Background Although most leptospirosis is mild, the severe form can cause multiple complications, with a fatality rate of over 50% even with ICU support. The clinical manifestations of leptospirosis vary depending on organs and tissues involved. Both cerebral artery and coronary artery can be damaged by leptospirosis. Although cerebral arteritis induced by leptospirosis has been reported, cerebral infarction caused by leptospirosis is rarely reported. Case presentation We report the case of a 79-year-old man admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) because of 3 days duration of fever, bloody sputum and dyspnea. Five days before he was admitted to hospital, he had harvested rice in flooded fields. After admission, leptospira interrogans DNA sequence was identified in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) by next-generation sequencing (NGS). Microscopic agglutination test (MAT) showed the serum antibody of Mini serovars was 1,600 and Hebdomadis serovars was 800. On the eighth day of admission, the patient noted left hemiplegia. Cranial CT scan revealed low-density shadow in the right basal ganglia, so cerebral infarction was diagnosed. The patient’s condition rapidly deteriorated and he died on the eleventh day of admission despite penicillin treatment, invasive mechanical ventilation and continuous renal replacement support. Conclusion Neurologic leptospirosis manifested as cerebral occlusion, although rare, might be deadly and should not be ignored.

Analysis on crystal cracking of PWO

The PWO crystal was grown by Cz method. We found the cause of crystal cracking was as follows: lateral crack; longitudinal length crack; along the cleaveage place crack; random fracture. Structure analysis shows that structure stress which cause the random fracture can be decreased through select high pure raw material and perfect sub-crystal, and main factor of crystal cracking is caused by thermal stress. Through a lot of experiments we have known that crystal cracking of thermal stress included not only along cleavage place crack but also lateral stratum crack and longitudinal length crack which was caused by dissimilar coefficient of expansion in all directions. During designing stable temperature field and selecting rational technology parameters and annealing process, perfect crystal was grown.

Numerical simulation study on Cz growth of silicon single crystal in a magnetic field

In this paper, Cz growth of silicon single crystal in a magnetic field was studied with numerical simulation method. The results of numerical simulation showed that convection of melt could be controlled when the magnetic field was added, moreover, forced convection was controlled much larger than natural convection. The oxygen concentration of the interface would decrease with the strengthening of the magnetic field intensity, but the temperature field of the melt did not change with the strenghtening of the magnetic field.
