The authors continuously observed the effect of Chuanxiongqin on the microcirculation of hamster cheek pouch by use of the Dual-Window Television Automatic Estimating System. It was seen that the caliber of arterioles, the microcirculatory velocity, and blood flow all decreased after local application of noradrenaline and all increased and returned to normal 1 to 30 min after local administration of Chuanxiongqin. Microcirculatory perfusion, however, could not be improved by normal saline or Iluangqi. The effect of Chuanxiongqin on the pulmonary capillary permeability was also investigated in rats. Pulmonary edema was induced in rats by adrenaline administration. Evans blue was injected intravenously and the amount of Evans blue in broncho-alveolar lavage fluid was estimated. It was found that Evans blue was increased in broncho-alveolar fluid of rats with pulmonary edema, and this increase could be lessened by Chuanxiongqin.
Total IgE, specific IgE and histamine in sera from 35 documented cases of cysticercosis and 30 transfusion donors were measured and mast cell degranulation test was performed. Total IgE levels (730.61 U/ml), the positive rate of specific IgE (85.7%), histamine levels (5.3 micrograms/ml) and the positive rate of mast cell degranulation (42.9%) of the patients were found to be significantly higher than those of the normal group (P less than 0.01). The results suggested that the antigen of Cysticercus cellulosae could induce IgE production and mast cell degranulation, resulting in the release of histamine. It was, therefore, deemed that the IgE and IgE-mediated immunoreaction might be involved in the pathogenesis of human cysticercosis.
Three patients with acute leukemia in first complete remission were transplanted with fetal liver cells from May 1983 to June 1984. A conditioning regimen of cyclophosphamide (60-80 mg/kg) and TBI 600-700 rads (a dose rate of 5-7r per minute) was taken. The hemopoietic and immunological recovery was rapid and complete in every patient. There was proof of chimerism in case 1 as demonstrated by the existance of the XX karyotype of donor fetus in 68.7% and 75% of marrow metaphases, in 25% of peripheral blood metaphases, by the appearance of new HLA-antigens and RBC blood type antigens of donor origin. The serum alpha-fetoprotein level increased and maintained for 40 days in case 2, but definite evidence of engraftment was not observed. The allogeneic marker, the donor's HLA-antigens and RBC isoenzyme, were detected in case 3.
Infrared optical properties of CdTe coatings deposited by PVD method were investigated by interference method. With the study of CdTe coatings deposited at different substrate temperture and of different thickness, it was found that CdTe coatings are inhomogeneous, and the refractive index of CdTe coatings varies with the thickness of layer. It was also found that the substrate temperature between 120℃ and 200℃ almost has no effect on optical properties of CdTe coatings.
