Tunable double-layer dual-band metamaterial with negative mass density

Abstract Due to the huge structure and low efficiency of acoustic metamaterial (AM) with local resonance, a tunable dual-band AM with nested double layer hollow tube (NDLHT) is presented here, which is achieved by adjusting the inner or outer layer tube’s lengths or diameters to modulate the frequency band with the negative mass density. In addition, an accurate resonant frequency formula for OE-CE (Open End-Close End) NDLHT was derived based on the principle of standing wave resonance. The theoretical calculated resonant frequencies exhibit in good agreement with the simulated frequencies. Thus, the structural unit can then be actively constructed in the desired response frequency range using the geometric parameters that were obtained from this theoretical formula. This type of the nested AM with negative mass density has the advantages of high space utilization, active design, programmed modelling, customized production, 3D quantitative printing and is easily combined with other structure units with negative modulus to prepare AM with double negative in the desired frequency band.

The sensing characteristics based on electromagnetically-induced transparency-like response in double-sided stub and a nanodisk waveguide system

We propose a novel metal–insulator–metal (MIM) waveguide structure consisting of a stub and a double side-coupled nanodisk. Its electromagnetically-induced transparency (EIT)-like response and transmission properties are numerically investigated by the finite element method (FEM). Numerical simulation results show that the EIT-like phenomenon appears in the transmission spectra. The transparency window can not only be manipulated by changing the radius of the nanodisk and the height of the stub, but also appear redshifted with the increasing of the refractive index n. Furthermore, the MIM waveguide structure is easy to yield a high sensitivity of 1200 nm/RIU with a figure of merit about [Formula: see text], which may be applied to nanosensors. These results would help us design the high-performance plasmonic devices based on the EIT-like response.

Semiconductor nanometer films is observed,ultraviolet-visual absorption spectra is performed under different temperature from room temperature to lique He.Temperature effect has influence on the lattice parameter and electron-phonon interaction,which induces absorption edge blue shift with temperature decreasing.

Hydrogenous(e,2e) reaction influence of scattering angle toelectron angle

We transform scattering amplitude during the(e,2e)reaction into perturbation matrix by using two-potencial formula.In mid-energy Ei=150eV ,Ef=3eV region ,we calculate the triply-differential cross sections In coplanar asymmetric geometry theoretically, introducing a Coulomb wave function for revising it and using high point way in different scattering angle, without the consideration of the influence of relative and center of mass movement,The feasibility of the method was theoretical analsis.

Recent Progress in Resonant Acoustic Metasurfaces

Acoustic metasurfaces, as two-dimensional acoustic metamaterials, are a current research topic for their sub-wavelength thickness and excellent acoustic wave manipulation. They hold significant promise in noise reduction and isolation, cloaking, camouflage, acoustic imaging, and focusing. Resonant structural units are utilized to construct acoustic metasurfaces with the unique advantage of controlling large wavelengths within a small size. In this paper, the recent research progresses of the resonant metasurfaces are reviewed, covering the design mechanisms and advances of structural units, the classification and application of the resonant metasurfaces, and the tunable metasurfaces. Finally, research interest in this field is predicted in future.

Multiband acoustic reflection metasurface with split hollow cubic

A kind of acoustic metasurface (AMS) with multiple response frequency bands based on the replace method was proposed, which composed of six units, each containing three split hollow cubics (SHCs) (denoted as the AAA type of AMS). The simulation results demonstrated that the presented AMS can achieve the flexible modulation of the reflected wave direction. The AAA type of AMS had one response band, the AAC type of AMS had two different response bands, and the ABC type of AMS had three different response bands. Furthermore, the response bandwidth of the ABC type of AMS declined the most in the middle-frequency band, followed in the low-frequency band, and the least in the high-frequency band, when compared to the corresponding AAA type of AMS with single bandwidth. In addition, it was worth noting that the ABC type of AMS not only enlarged the manipulation direction of reflected acoustic wave, but also improved the effects of the wavefront distribution at the same frequency. This multiple band AMS will be beneficial for the application of architectural acoustics, and acoustic absorption and noise reduction.

The application of pseudo-color in high-speed camera of range experiment

Because of the important position of the high speed camera system in range experiment,we put forward a method to enhance the image's quantity.We use pseudo-color to enhance the high-speed moving objects of high-speed camera,don't handle the still background objects and show them with gray color.By using of the MATLAB,we overcame some weakness of high-speed camera images which exist in the range experiment such as low bright and low contrast.We acquire good result.It makes the range experiment not to be influenced by the weather and the time.The method provides a kind of new path to increase the image's quantity of high-speed camera.
