Optimization of the Dispatching and Detection System of Smart Grid

Designs this system of smart grid to implement the dispatching and detection of smart grid by Dijkstra and Ant Colony Optimization.Based on the five transformer substations of electric power company of Pudong,Shanghai,this article provides a method of dispatching,detection and real-time monitoring of the smart grid.In addition,it shows the results of dispatching and detection by visual interface.The algorithm solves the problem of information-overloading which might be caused by current algorithms.

Revealing the Hidden Mechanism of Enhanced Responsivity of Doped p-i-n Perovskite Photodiodes via Coupled Opto-Electronic Model

Organic-inorganic halide perovskites have demonstrated preeminent optoelectronic performance in recent years due to their unique material properties, and have shown great potential in the field of photodetectors. In this study, a coupled opto-electronic model is constructed to reveal the hidden mechanism of enhancing the performance of perovskite photodetectors that are suitable for both inverted and regular structure doped p-i-n perovskite photodiodes. Upon illumination, the generation rate of photogenerated carriers is calculated followed by carrier density distribution, which serves as a coupled joint to further analyze the recombination rate, electric field strength, and current density of carriers under different doping types and densities. Moreover, experiments were carried out in which the doping types and densities of the active layer were regulated by changing the precursor ratios. With optimal doping conditions, the inverted and regular perovskite photodiodes achieved an external quantum efficiency of 74.83% and 73.36%, and a responsivity of 0.417 and 0.404 A/W, respectively. The constructed coupled opto-electronic model reveals the hidden mechanism and along with the doping strategy, this study provides important guidance for further analysis and improvement of perovskite-based photodiodes.

Chiral perovskite-CdSe/ZnS QDs composites with high circularly polarized luminescence performance achieved through additive-solvent engineering

Chiral perovskite materials are being extensively studied as one of the most promising candidates for circularly polarized luminescence (CPL)-related applications. Balancing chirality and photoluminescence (PL) properties is of great importance for enhancing the value of the dissymmetry factor (glum), and a higher glum value indicates better CPL. Chiral perovskite/quantum dot (QD) composites emerge as an effective strategy for overcoming the dilemma that achieving strong chirality and PL in chiral perovskite while at the same time achieving high glum in this composite is very crucial. Here, we choose diphenyl sulfoxide (DPSO) as an additive in the precursor solution of chiral perovskite to regulate the lattice distortion. How structural variation affects the chiral optoelectronic properties of the chiral perovskite has been further investigated. We find that chiral perovskite/CdSe–ZnS QD composites with strong CPL have been achieved, and the calculated maximum |glum| of the composites increased over one order of magnitude after solvent-additive modulation (1.55 × 10−3 for R-DMF/QDs, 1.58 × 10−2 for R-NMP-DPSO/QDs, −2.63 × 10−3 for S-DMF/QDs, and −2.65 × 10−2 for S-NMP-DPSO/QDs), even at room temperature. Our findings suggest that solvent-additive modulation can effectively regulate the lattice distortion of chiral perovskite, enhancing the value of glum for chiral perovskite/CdSe–ZnS QD composites.

MOCVD Growth of High-Quality and Density-Tunable GaAs Nanowires on ITO Catalyzed by Au Nanoparticles Deposited by Centrifugation

High-quality and density-tunable GaAs nanowires (NWs) are directly grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) using Au nanoparticles (NPs) as catalysts by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Au catalysts were deposited on ITO glass substrate using a centrifugal method. Compared with the droplet-only method, high-area density Au NPs were uniformly distributed on ITO. Tunable area density was realized through variation of the centrifugation time, and the highest area densities were obtained as high as 490 and 120 NP/μm(2) for 10- and 20-nm diameters of Au NPs, respectively. Based on the vapor-liquid-solid growth mechanism, the growth rates of GaAs NWs at 430 °C were 18.2 and 21.5 nm/s for the highest area density obtained of 10- and 20-nm Au NP-catalyzed NWs. The growth rate of the GaAs NWs was reduced with the increase of the NW density due to the competition of precursor materials. High crystal quality of the NWs was also obtained with no observable planar defects. 10-nm Au NP-induced NWs exhibit wurtzite structure whereas zinc-blende is observed for 20-nm NW samples. Controllable density and high crystal quality of the GaAs NWs on ITO demonstrate their potential application in hybrid a solar cell.

Regional Internet Access and Mental Stress among University Students: A Representative Nationwide Study of China (Preprint)

BACKGROUND The Internet changed the lives of average citizens in the early part of the 21st century, and it has now become an essential part of daily life. Many studies reported that Internet use is positively correlated with psychological and mental problems, included depression, loneliness, and stress. However, previous studies examining Internet use and mental health were confined to local and community subpopulations and limited at the individual level, which increases the potential bias from selection effect at a different level. Regional variables would be a stable estimate of people’s socioeconomic and cultural environments and how these variables affect mental health needed to be studied. OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between regional Internet access, and mental stress among university students. METHODS Participants were 11,954 students, who were identified through a multistage survey sampling process conducted in 50 Chinese universities. Regional Internet access was retrieved from a national database, and mental stress was measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (Chinese Version) (CPSS). Both unadjusted and adjusted methods were considered in the analyses. RESULTS More than one third 36.9% (95% CI: 24.4%–49.5%) of university students in this study suffered from severe mental stress (SMR). The full multilevel logistic regression model found that university students studied in low-level universities had 2.73 (95% C.I. 1.17 to 6.37) times the prevalence of SMR than that reference group. Compared with small cities, students in a large city had a lower prevalence of SMR (OR 0.24; 95%C.I. 0.07 to 0.78). Most importantly, regional Internet access was negatively associated with students’ SMR (OR 0.25; 95%C.I. 0.08 to 0.76). CONCLUSIONS This study provided directive evidences that regional Internet access and other environmental factors including city size contribute to students’ mental health. The findings underscore that efforts to control excessive mental stress among students in China should pay greater attention to environmental determinants of stress and particularly to improve in internet access. We report a two-step nucleation and growth of CdTe quantum dots via magic-sized cluster intermediates. In this low-cost aqueous phase procedure (10 times lower than organic-phase), the spectrally narrow emission (37 nm) with high quantum yield >50%) can be utilized for high definition and color gamut displays.

Propagation of coherence-OAM matrix of an optical beam in vacuum and turbulence

Propagation of the coherence-orbital angular momentum (COAM) matrix of partially coherent beams in homogeneous and isotropic turbulence, e.g., atmosphere, is formulated using the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle. It is found that under the effect of turbulence the elements in the COAM matrix will generally be affected by other elements, resulting in certain OAM mode dispersion. We show that if turbulence is homogeneous and isotropic, there exists an analytic "selection rule" for governing such a dispersion mechanism, which states that only the elements having the same index difference, say l - m, may interact with each other, where l and m denote OAM mode indices. Further, we develop a wave-optics simulation method incorporating modal representation of random beams, multi-phase screen method and the coordinate transformation to simulate propagation of the COAM matrix of any partially coherent beam propagating in free space or in turbulent medium. The simulation method is thoroughly discussed. As examples, the propagation characteristics of the most representative COAM matrix elements of circular and elliptical Gaussian Schell-model beams in free space and in turbulent atmosphere are studied, and the selection rule is numerically demonstrated.
