To address challenges in screening for chronic kidney disease (CKD), we devised a deep learning-based CKD screening model named UWF-CKDS. It utilizes ultra-wide-field (UWF) fundus images to predict the presence of CKD. We validated the model with data from 23 tertiary hospitals across China. Retinal vessels and retinal microvascular parameters (RMPs) were extracted to enhance model interpretability, which revealed a significant correlation between renal function and RMPs. UWF-CKDS, utilizing UWF images, RMPs, and relevant medical history, can accurately determine CKD status. Importantly, UWF-CKDS exhibited superior performance compared to CTR-CKDS, a model developed using the central region (CTR) cropped from UWF images, underscoring the contribution of the peripheral retina in predicting renal function. The study presents UWF-CKDS as a highly implementable method for large-scale and accurate CKD screening at the population level.
ABSTRACT Based on the perspective of the equity theory, this study analyzes the influence of the china's state-owned capital investment on the domestic listed enterprise's value-creating ability. To maximize the value-creating ability, the optimal ownership structure model for the mixed ownership enterprises is also discussed. This study finds that, firstly, the state-owned capital will achieve the social benefit goal by sacrificing the return of the reinvestment. Therefore, the effect of the rent dissipation should be taken into account while evaluating the investment efficiency of the state-owned capital and the performance of the invested enterprises. Secondly, the investment of state-owned capital will bring additional benefits to the listed enterprise, which will enhance the creditor's confidence, reduce the cost of the enterprise creditor's capital and increase the financial flexibility. Thirdly, under the background of the mixed ownership reform, the invested enterprise's value-creating ability is closely related to the proportion of state-owned capital and private capital. Maximizing the utilization of the additional benefits from both state-owned capital and private capital will optimize not only enterprise's performance but also its value-creating ability. Unlike other chicken breeds, Xichuan Black Bone (XBB) chickens are an established breed in China with excellent production performance and unique characteristics, including black meat, beaks, skin, bones, and legs, and they produce blue-shelled eggs. The Tengchong Snow (TS) chicken breed has relatively lower growth performance than commercial breeds but is considered one of the main genetic treasures of black meat in China. To improve the production and meat quality traits of the TS chickens by hybridization, the current study aimed to investigate the growth performance, carcass indices, meat quality physical properties, and muscle fiber traits of fiber traits of F1 crosses of TS with XBB chickens. Three groups of crossbreeding combinations were produced: (1) XT group (XBB × TS ), (2) TX group (TS × XBB ), and (3) TT group (TS × TS ), with the TT group used as a control. A total of 725 healthy chicks (XT group: 247, TX group: 180, TT group: 298) were reared up to 20 weeks of age to estimate the growth performance and associated meat parameters. The results showed that the XT and TX groups had higher body weight and body size compared with the TT group (

In the early days of the researching and developing nuclear weapons in China,Soviet provided nuclear technology to China.Because of the political divergence between the leaders of China and Soviet,the Soviet Union stopped the assistance to China and the alliance of China and Soviet was over.This article reviews the history and makes a probing analysis on the reasons of Soviet's stopping its nuclear assistance to China.And the article puts forward that the main reasons are personal conflict of the two state leaders,cognitive dissonance in road to socialism development,the consideration of alternatives to great strategic problem and Communist Party China's handling the two countries relations in strong nationalism.
Tengchong Snow chickens are one of the most precious, black-boned chickens in Yunnan province and usually produce black meat. However, we found a small number of white meat traits in the chicken population during feeding. In order to determine the pattern of melanin deposition and the molecular mechanism of formation in the Tengchong Snow chicken, we measured the luminance value (L value) and melanin content in the skin of black meat chickens (Bc) and white meat chickens (Wc) using a color colorimeter, ELISA kit, and enzyme marker. The results showed that the L value of skin tissues in black meat chickens was significantly lower than that of white meat chickens, and the L value of skin tissues gradually increased with an increase in age. The melanin content of skin tissues in black meat chickens was higher than that of white meat chickens, and melanin content in the skin tissues gradually decreased with an increase in age, but this difference was not significant (p > 0.05); the L value of skin tissues in black meat chickens was negatively correlated with melanin content, and the correlation coefficient was mostly above −0.6. In addition, based on the phenotypic results, we chose to perform the comparative transcriptome profiling of skin tissues at 90 days of age. We screened a total of 44 differential genes, of which 32 were upregulated and 12 were downregulated. These DEGs were mainly involved in melanogenesis, tyrosine metabolism and RNA transport. We identified TYR, DCT, and EDNRB2 as possible master effector genes for skin pigmentation in Tengchong Snow black meat chickens through DEGs analysis. Finally, we measured the mRNA of TYR, DCT, MC1R, EDNRB2, GPR143, MITF, and TYRP1 genes through a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and found that the mRNA of all the above seven genes decreased with increasing age. In conclusion, our study initially constructed an evaluation system for the black-boned traits of Tengchong Snow chickens and found key candidate genes regulating melanin deposition, which could provide an important theoretical basis for the selection and breeding of black-boned chickens.
