Medical health workers play an essential role in the healthcare system and face unique workplace stressors. However, the impact of psychological stress on their physical health has received less attention compared to the general population.
As a common symptom of perimenopausal period, perimenopausal insomnia brings great pain to many women and families. Acupuncture has been accepted by people as the incidence rate of this disease increases. The purpose of this study is to systematically compare the safety and efficacy of various acupuncture treatments for perimenopausal insomnia through network meta-analysis.
Background and Objective: : Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is the leading cause of infant lower respiratory tract infections with no mature vaccines and medicines available. Pneumonia caused by RSV kills many infants every year. There are unique advantages for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to fight against the virus. Houttuynia cordata Thunb is a commonly used anti-virus medicine in TCM, but its mechanism has not been investigated. The current study explores the anti-RSV mechanism of H. cordata Thunb by means of network pharmacology and bioinformatics. Method: The candidate compounds of H. cordata Thunb and the potential targets were obtained from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP), PubMed, CNKI, PubChem Database, and Swiss Target Prediction database. Then the potential targets and pathways of H. cordata Thunb against RSV were screened by GeneCards, GenCLiP 3, and NCBI Database. We developed a Protein-Protein Interactions (PPI) Network and Compound-Target-Pathway Network through the Cytoscape software. Furthermore, core targets were preliminary verification by Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database by bioinformatics methods. At last, the first 6 pathways were screened out to draw a map of the main target signal pathways. Results:: A total of 12 potentially active compounds and 47 potential interaction targets were screened. PPI Network and data from GEO showed that IL-6, STAT3, TNF, AKT1, PTGS2, SRC, and MAPK3 may play a core role in the antivirus process. KEGG enrichment pathway analysis predicted that H. cordata Thunb exerted its anti-RSV effect by regulating TNF, Rap1, HIF-1, PI3K-Akt, MAPK, and VEGF signaling pathways. Conclusion: : This study preliminarily predicted the main active compounds, targets and related pathways of H. cordata Thunb in the treatment of RSV-induced diseases, which laid a good foundation for further revealing its mechanism.
To improve the pediatric postgraduate' writing skills of medical literature review. Some measnres were taken, such as cultivating the students' ability of consulting literature and enhancing the students' learning activeness,self-consciousness and positivity. The ability of obtaining knowledge, the level of professional knowledge and the reading and writing ability of professional English of master students of pediatrics was improved apparently, and this is important to improve the quality of postgraduate education.

AbstractObjective: To explore the effects of parental rejection on college students’ innovative and entrepreneurship ability and its mechanisms, as well as the mediating roles of growth mindset and psychological resilience in it. Methods: 1051 college students were surveyed using Short-form Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran (s-EMBU), Growth Mindset Scale (GMS), Connor- Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC), and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Capacity Scale (IECS). Results:(1) The results of the correlation analysis indicated that parental rejection exhibited negative correlations with growth mindset, psychological resilience, and innovation and entrepreneurship ability. Additionally, growth mindset demonstrated positive correlations with psychological resilience and innovation and entrepreneurship ability, while psychological resilience displayed positive correlations with innovation and entrepreneurship ability. (2) Chain mediation analysis demonstrates that parental rejection exerts a substantial direct impact on the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students, while also influencing these abilities indirectly through the intermediary mechanisms of growth mindset and psychological resilience, both independently and in a chained mediation process. Conclusion: The impact of parental rejection on college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship ability is multifaceted, encompassing both direct effects and indirect effects mediated by growth mindset and psychological resilience, as well as their combined influence.
Unique environment, coupled with overload, low job control, and high risk might put operating room (OR) nurses in a state of high job strain, which might have negative influences on burnout and organizational commitment. Based on the Job Demand-Control-Support model and previous studies, we hypothesized that the relationship between job strain (determined by job demand and control) and organizational commitment could be mediated by burnout (emotional exhaustion and depersonalization), the effect of job strain on burnout and organizational commitment could be moderated by social support. To verify the hypothesis, a quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted, 509 OR nurses from 30 tertiary hospitals in Beijing were recruited. Multiple-group path analysis was used to test the moderated role of social support. Propensity score matching was applied to match job strain in different groups. Our research found that in the low social support group, job strain was not related to organizational commitment, while in the high social support group, depersonalization was not related to organizational commitment. Furthermore, nurses in the low social support group were more likely to have depersonalization under job strain compared to the high social support group. Social support should be provided to alleviate the negative impact of job strain.
Abstract Background: College students generally experience academic burnout, seriously affecting their normal learning as well as physical and mental well-being. This paper aims to examine the level of academic burnout among nursing students from traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) universities, and to determine whether professional commitmentacts as a mediator between psychological capital and academic burnout. Methods: This cross-sectional study used convenience sampling to recruit 733 voluntary student participants from a four-year undergraduate nursing program at a TCM university in Shandong Province, China, from April to June 2020. All participants completed self-reported questionnaires online. The mediating role of professional commitment was evaluated using the bootstrap method. Results : Psychological capitaland professional commitmenthad a significantly negative correlation academic burnout (both p < 0.01), and psychological capital was positively related to professional commitment ( p < 0.01). Additionally, psychological capital and academic burnout were partially mediated by professional commitment ( b = -0.223 , 95% Confidence Interval = -0.282–0.168). Conclusions: It was found that psychological capitaland professional commitment contribute to reducing academic burnout, while psychological capitalenhances professional commitment. Moreover, professional commitment was a mediator between psychological capital and academic burnout. Thus, Effective strategies should be implemented to strengthen psychological capital and professional commitment and alleviate academic burnout.
