Objective:To explore the feasibility of laparoscopic thyroidectomy.Methods:Thirty-five cases with thyroid neoplasms were divided into two groups. One group underwent laparoscopic operation and the other group underwent traditional operation.the of satisfaction for the incision, the expenditure, recurrence rate. The hospitalization, operative time, blood loss, complications, drainage, flow degree the expenses were compared. Results:The hospitalization of the two groups were(6.2±1.4)d and(5.8±2.1)d(P0.05).The operative time were(1.8±0.4)h and(1.2±0.3)h(P0.05).The blood loss were(15±6)ml and(37±16)ml(P0.05).The complication rates were 13.3% and 15%(P0.05).The drainageflow were(50±6)ml and(48±10)ml(P0.05).The degree of satisfaction for incision was(9.2±1.3)and(7.2±2.1)(P0.05).The expenditure were(5512±128)and(3461±547)(P0.05).Conclusions:It is safe and has cosmesis effect.Though it's a cottle expersive. The laparoscopy has more advantages than open procedures.
Abstract A novel lanostanoid lactone (1) was first isolated from the Alga Hypnea cerricornis collected from the Xisha Islands in the South China Sea. The structure of 1 was determined on spectral evidence as 5α‐lansta‐8‐en‐3β, 22°‐dihydroxy‐22 ( R ), 24 (S)‐lactone.
We intended to observe the effect of absorbable hemostatic gauze (Tai Ling) in breast cancer surgery. We selected 200 cases of modified radical mastectomy for breast cancer patients, which were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 100 cases in each group. In the observation group, the application of absorbable hemostatic gauze to stop bleeding, the control group using traditional mechanical to stop bleeding, the difference between the two groups of patients were observed. From these data,we can observe The operation time, blood loss, the number of red blood cell count, extubation time and total drainage volume of the observation group after the operation of 1day, 2days, 3days were lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).From this experiment, we can sum up: Absorbable hemostatic gauze (Tai Ling) in breast cancer surgery and postoperation has a good hemostatic effect.Absorbable hemostatic can prevent the occurrence of lymphatic leakage, reducing the postoperative wound bleeding, subcutaneous effusion complications.
This study aimed to understand the consumption frequency of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) and high-energy diets in junior school students in China and to explore the relationship between SSBs and high-energy diets and academic performance. Information about 9251 junior school students was retrieved from the China Education Panel Survey (CEPS) database. The Mann−Whitney U test and the Kruskal−Wallis test were used to compare differences in academic performance based on the variables of interest. Generalized linear mixed models were used to analyze the association between the consumption frequency of SSBs and high-energy diet and student academic performance, fixed and random effects were included to control for confounding factors. The proportions of the “often” consumption group of SSBs and high-energy diets were 21.5% and 14.6%, respectively. For SSBs, the total score of the “often” consume group was 4.902 (95%CI: −7.660~−2.144, p < 0.001) points lower than that of the “seldom” consume group. Scores of Chinese math, and English were 0.864 (95%CI: −1.551~−0.177, p = 0.014), 2.164 (95%CI: −3.498~−0.831, p = 0.001), and 1.836 (95%CI: −2.961~−0.710, p = 0.001) points lower, respectively. For high-energy diets, the scores of total, Chinese and English in the “sometimes” consume group were 2.519 (95%CI: 0.452~4.585, p = 0.017), 1.025 (95%CI: 0.510~1.540, p < 0.001) and 1.010 (95%CI: 0.167~1.853, p = 0.019) points higher than that of the “seldom” consume group, respectively. Our findings suggested that consumption of SSBs was often negatively associated with academic performance in junior school students, while medium consumption of high-energy diets had a positive correlation. The positive association between high-energy diets and academic performance may be related to the food items included in the high-energy diets consumed by Chinese students. Schools and families should pay more effort to reduce the consumption of SSBs, and for high-energy diets, the focus should be on food selection and avoiding excessive intake. Longitudinal studies are needed to further test these findings among adolescents.
Background: Thoracic aortic aneurysms associated with Marfan syndrome (MFS) carry a high risk of mortality; however, the molecular and cellular processes leading to aortopathy in this population remain poorly understood. We aimed to use single-cell RNA (scRNA) sequencing to define the non-immune cell populations present within the aortic wall in MFS, hypothesizing that these would differ from those of non-aneurysmal control tissue. Methods: We performed scRNA sequencing of ascending aortic aneurysm tissues from MFS patients (n=3) undergoing aneurysm repair and of age-matched, non-aneurysmal control tissue from cardiac transplant donors and recipients (n=4). The Seurat package in R was used for analysis. Differentially expressed genes were identified using edgeR. Results: Eighteen non-immune cell clusters were identified, with conserved gene expression of the largest of the clusters consistent with smooth muscle cells (SMCs; n=6), fibroblasts (n=3), and endothelial cells (n=3). The SMCs and fibroblasts exhibited graded changes in their expression of contractile and extracellular matrix protein genes, supportive of a phenotypic continuum. Additionally, we identified differences in the proportions of non-immune cells in MFS tissues compared to controls. In control tissues, the most common non-immune cells expressed markers of contractile SMC maturity including CNN1 , MYH11 , and SMTN . In contrast, the largest clusters in MFS tissue were most closely related to SMCs on correlation analysis, but displayed increased expression of cyclin genes as well as immune, endothelial, and fibroblast genes indicative of de-differentiated, proliferative SMCs. Additionally, expression of genes associated with SMC phenotypic maturity, including MYH11 and MYOCD , were significantly downregulated in several of the MFS SMC clusters. Conclusion: Our data demonstrate a phenotypic continuum between fibroblasts and SMCs, with aortas from patients with MFS exhibiting an increased proportion of de-differentiated, proliferative SMCs compared to controls. Additionally, markers of SMC maturity were downregulated in SMCs in MFS compared to controls. This may be due to disruption of signaling pathways that promote differentiation.
Genome-wide association studies have identified hundreds of loci for type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction, as well as for related traits such as body mass index, glucose and insulin levels, lipid levels, and blood pressure. These studies also have pointed to thousands of loci with promising but not yet compelling association evidence. To establish association at additional loci and to characterize the genome-wide significant loci by fine-mapping, we designed the ''Metabochip,'' a custom genotyping array that assays nearly 200,000 SNP markers. Here, we describe the Metabochip and its component SNP sets, evaluate its performance in capturing variation across the allele-frequency spectrum, describe solutions to methodological challenges commonly encountered in its analysis, and evaluate its performance as a platform for genotype imputation. The metabochip achieves dramatic cost efficiencies compared to designing single-trait follow-up reagents, and provides the opportunity to compare results across a range of related traits. The metabochip and similar custom genotyping arrays offer a powerful and cost-effective approach to follow-up large-scale genotyping and sequencing studies and advance our understanding of the genetic basis of complex human diseases and traits.
