Whole-process modeling of titanium disc forming for gradient distributions of temperature and deformation

Gradient distributions of temperature and deformation (GDTD) are crucial for achieving dual-performance discs of titanium alloys which is required by the service environment of aeroengine. However, heating, cooling and deforming sequence in the whole process of the titanium disc forming, which leads to difficulties for achieving GDTD due to a lot of parameters. To solve this problem, a whole-process model of the titanium disc forming for GDTD has been established. In the model, heating and cooling via heat radiation, conduction and convection, and deforming by local loading with mold chilling are all considered. Experiments on heating and cooling as well as deforming were carried out by using a furnace and the Gleeble-3500 machine. The experimental data are used to determine thermal parameters and constitutive relations of the IMI834 titanium alloy, and then to verify the reliability of the model. Then the model was used to simulate the evolution rules of temperature and deformation of the titanium disc. The results show that the heating surface, furnace temperature, billet profile and loading rate play the core role for the control of GDTD, and thus a set of parameters were determined. Therefore, this work provides a base for developing a new forming technology of the dual-performance titanium discs with the approach of local heating and local loading.

Optimization of multiple autonomous underwater vehicle cooperative system communication network topology based on total energy consumption

Given the importance of the communication energy consumption of multiple autonomous underwater vehicle cooperative systems in practical work, this work optimizes the network topology to reduce total energy consumption. In accordance with the characteristics of underwater communication, the energy consumption of communication links is obtained, thereby obtaining the total communication energy consumption of multiple autonomous underwater vehicle cooperative systems. Taking the all-terminal reliability of the communication network as a constraint and the total energy consumption of network communication as the optimization goal, this work puts forward an optimization model for the communication network topology of multiple autonomous underwater vehicle cooperative systems. Furthermore, this work creatively describes the network topology optimization problem as a special path optimization problem suitable for the ant colony optimization algorithm presented to solve the optimization problem and shown to be effective and efficiency on this problem.

A kind of effectiveness of searching submarine for multiple Autonomous Underwater Vehicle cooperative systems

In this paper, according to the characteristics of multi-monomer cooperative systems, Perron-Fronbenius eigenvalue is used as the cooperative capacity index of multi-AUV (multiple Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) cooperative system, and an algorithm for calculating the cooperative capacity of multi-AUV cooperative system is proposed. Then on this basis, the calculation method for the effectiveness of multi-AUV cooperative system is proposed. Combined with the searching submarine task of multi-AUV cooperative system, the Monte Carlo simulation method was used to calculate the effectiveness of searching submarine for multi-AUV cooperative system. The result shows that searching submarine effectiveness of passive sonar is more affected by noise level than that of active sonar. Compared with the effectiveness of searching submarine for multi-AUV non-cooperative system, it is concluded that the searching submarine effectiveness of multi-AUV cooperative system is higher than that of multi-AUV non-cooperative system. At the same time, according to the analysis of the searching submarine effectiveness of different V-type formations, it is found that the smaller the formation angle, the higher the effectiveness of searching submarine.

Role of the inter-pass cooling rate in recrystallization behaviors of Ni-based superalloy during interrupted hot compression

The microstructural evolution of a Ni-based superalloy under interrupted hot compressive deformation with different cooling rates in the inter-pass stage is investigated. It is found that metadynamic recrystallization (MDRX) in the inter-pass stage is more sensitive to the accumulated strain than the deformation temperature which is above the recrystallization temperature. The variations of both the grain distribution and the texture intensity caused by MDRX during the inter-pass stage result in variations of the yield stress (YS) and the work hardening (WH) rate in each stage. Results also show that the MDRX process in the inter-pass stage has a considerable influence on the final microstructure of three-pass compression. The final grain distribution is more uniform, and the compression texture gradually transforms into recrystallization texture with an increasing degree of MDRX. In order to predict the MDRX fraction in the inter-pass cooling stage, a modified kinetic equation is established, which can reasonably predict the MDRX behavior under multi-pass compression with different conditions in the inter-pass stage. Meanwhile, the influence of the inter-pass cooling stage on the mechanism of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) is studied. It is universally acknowledged that the discontinuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) process is the major deformation mechanism for the Ni-based superalloy. However, the continuous dynamic recrystallization (CDRX) process is promoted in the compression stage with a decrease of the cooling rate in each inter-pass stage.

Classification and Recognition of Underwater Target Based on MFCC Feature Extraction

The key to underwater target recognition is to extract the effective features of underwater target radiation noise. This paper presents an effective method for underwater target recognition and classification by extracting Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) features of underwater target radiation noise. Compared with traditional spectral analysis methods, MFCC makes full use of the non-linear auditory effect of the human ear with different perception capabilities for sounds of different frequencies. In this paper, the classification experiment of the radiated noise of the three types of measured underwater targets is done, where the MFCC feature vectors of the three types of targets are extracted, and the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm is used to classify and identify them. Finally, the experimental results show that the method is effective.
