Background of study in this research was the problem that the researcher get when doing pre-observation at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Pakis Duren Banyuwangi. From that pre-observation the researcher got problem that faced by student in learning writing they are the students faced ifficulty in deliver ideas and also faced the difficulty in the organization. Besides, passing the interview activity with fifth grade teacher, the researcher got in learning activity especially writing the teacher tend to implementing learning writing as one of the activity that enhance to the result that the process. So that, it can be seen that the process approach never implemented in learning of writing activity. That is why, the reseacher has alternatif to solve the problem by process approach in learning writing especially naration. To reach the purpose, the reseacher plan the action research by quantitative approach. Action planning structured in one cycle that have, pre-observatio, planning action, action, observation, and reflection. The first instrument in collecting the data in this research was by using observation sheet, interview note, and student’s work. So that, to collecting data in this research was the data process and the result data. Based on the result in pre-test, cycle 1 and cyle 2 it has the differented and the improvement after learning using process approach metod. Learning using process approach can improve student’s learning, it proved by the improvement of student’s score from pre-test (7.93), cylce 1 (8.37) and cycle 2 (12.27). so it can be concluded that the process approach method can improve the student’s writing especially in writing naration. Based on analysis result can be concluded that the process and the result of the improvement of writing naration was done in three part of learning, they are (a) part of pre-writing, (b) part of writing, and (c) part of correcting. Based on the result of the research can be said that: (1) to the head master and also the teacher that school hope to implement the process approach in teaching learning writing especially writing naration because process approach was proved able to improve the student’s writing, (2) to the teacher in SD for the result in this reasearch have benefit as one of the alternatif srategy of teaching learning writing or implemented to other teaching learning (3) to the reader especially teacher in that school to publicate the result of this research to other teacher that doesn’t have knowledge in writing naration by process approach to the teacher understand the benefit from this approach.
English is an international language that has the important roles to connect people from different countries in the world. English has four language skills. They are listening, writing, reading, and speaking. The researcher focuses on speaking skill in teaching English. Speaking is productive skills that involve producing the speech to transfer information or knowledge to somebody else. In the teaching speaking English, the teacher is required for sending and receiving the information or knowledge to her students using methods for delivering the material runs well. One of the teaching methods that highly recommended is Total Physical Response. As a results, despite the importance to know the detailed of TPR implementation and the students' response toward TPR in learning English speaking at SMP PGRI 2 Batu.
This research was a descriptive qualitative research because it was aimed to describe the implementation of Total Physical Response in teaching English speaking of the second year students at SMP PGRI 2 Batu in academic years 2015 and to identify the students' response toward TPR in teaching speaking. Additionally, the data collection was conducted through observation (non-participant observation) and interview (unstructured interview). The research subject of this study was an English teacher and the second year students at SMP PGRI 2 Batu.
The result of the study showed that the stage of Total Physical Response was implemented effectively based on the lesson plan. The teacher used three activities which were pre-teaching activity, main- teaching activity, and post- teaching activity. Additionally, the students' response was enthusiastic in teaching speaking using TPR. Most of them enjoyed the implementation of TPR very much. They gave positive response toward TPR in teaching learning activity through being active, asking and giving idea bravely.
Finally, it is suggested to the teacher becomes more creative to gain the students' curiosity in implementing TPR in teaching speaking skill. For the students, they practice their English speaking everyday to be more confident in English communication.
Speaking is the productive skill in developing the ability as second and foreign language to communicate clearly and efficiently. It is one of the important English language skill for students especially Senior and Vocational High School level. Nevertheless, several problems emerged in the teaching and learning of speaking skill. One of those problems was the students lacked vocabulary and motivation to learn English speaking, they got difficult to pronounce the words correctly, they felt anxious to speak English and so on. For that a reason, the researcher provided an effective solution to cope the problems encountered through Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method. This method has been popular in the curriculum 2013 which had been applied in SMKN 1 Kraksaan. PjBL is a teaching method which uses projects or activities as the core media in the teaching and learning process in which the students have full authority to gain knowledge in their own way. Meanwhile, the teacher acts as a facilitator toward the students’ learning process.
As a result, this research was intended to know whether or not PjBL could give a significant effect on the students’ speaking achievement. This research employed quasi-experimental with none equivalent (Pre-Test and Post-Test) control group design. Moreover, this research was conducted at SMKN 1 Kraksaan, specifically at the eleventh grade. The researcher chose the students of two classes of the office administration namely APK 2 consisted of 34 students as the experimental group and 33 students of APK 1 as the control group. Furthermore, PBL was applied for APK 2 while APK 1 was applied using Grammar Translation Method (GTM).
Based on the result of the Independent Sample T-test, the students’ speaking score showed that the obtained probability from the Experimental and Control groups were sig .00. It claimed that the sig .00 was less than .05 which was stated that there was meaningful evidence to accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. In other words, it can be concluded that PjBL could contribute significant effect on improving the students’ speaking skill and it can be promoted by the teacher as a teaching method to English speaking skill.
Latar Belakang: Daun sirih mengandung minyak atsiri yang berfungsi menetralisir radikal bebas. Parasetamol adalah obat yang sering menyebabkan hepatotoksisitas dengan mekanisme metabolit alkilasi minor NAPQI dan radikal bebas ion superoksida. Kandungan minyak atsiri dalam daun sirih diharapkan mampu menetralisir radikal bebas tersebut.
Tujuan: Membuktikan pengaruh pemberian air seduhan daun sirih (piper betle L.) terhadap peningkatan kadar bilirubin total serum tikus putih jantan (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) yang diinduksi parasetamol.
Metode: Eksperimental murni, dengan rancangan The Post Test Only Control Group Design. Sampel dibagi 5 kelompok. Kelompok I (kontrol negatif), kelompok II (kontrol positif) diberi parasetamol 375mg/ekor/hari selama 14 hari, dan 3 kelompok lainnya diberi air seduhan daun sirih dengan dosis: 2, 4, dan 8ml/ekor/hari selama 14 hari setelah diinduksi parasetamol 375mg/ekor/hari selama 14 hari. Dianalisis dengan oneway ANOVA, uji korelasi dan uji regresi.
Hasil penelitian dan diskusi: Uji oneway ANOVA menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antar perlakuan (p<0,01). Analisis korelasi di dapatkan (p=0,000) dan (r=-0,894) artinya kenaikan dosis air seduhan daun sirih menyebabkan penurunan kadar bilirubin total. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan pemberian air seduhan daun sirih berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kadar bilirubin total (R2=0,799)
Kesimpulan: Pemberian air seduhan daun sirih dapat menurunkan peningkatan kadar bilirubin total serum tikus putih jantan (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) yang diinduksi parasetamol.
This research was carried out on Jl. Makmur, Dusun III Banyumas Village, Stabat District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra This research was carried out from December to March 2022. Materials used: Water-honey guava brood tree, honey-water guava shoots of green delli variety, Growtone, Npk 16-16-16 Fertilizer. This study was arranged based on a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the administration of Growtone consisting of 4 levels, namely: G0: Without Growtone (control), G1: 0.5% (5 gr100 ml-1). water), G2: 1.0% (10 gr100 ml water-1), G3: 1.5% (15 gr100 ml water-1). The second factor is the application of NPK 16-16-16(N) fertilizer consisting of 3 The levels are: N0: Without NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer (control), N1: 0.2 g100 ml water-1, N2: 0.4 g 100 ml water-1. The results of the study showed that the application of ZPT Growtone had a very significant effect on the parameters of the longest root length and the number of roots, had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, and number of shoots, but had no significant effect on the parameters of the percentage of cuttings growing. The application of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, significantly on the parameters of the number of leaves, the number of shoots, the longest root length, and the number of roots, but had no significant effect on the parameters of the percentage of cuttings growing. The interaction of giving zpt growtone and giving NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer had no significant effect on all observation parameters
