Born and raised in a family fond of Confucianism,Xi Zuochi preferred to advance his career rather than staying in a rural area.The environment of Xiangyang was much better than Baimei in Jiangxi in terms of its cultural development.Xiangyang was located in the war area between the Eastern Jin and the Pre-Qin Dynasties.In the fourth year of the Tai Yuan Period,Xiangyang was part of the Pre-Qin Dynasty and Xi Zuochi was a high-ranking official at the behest of Fujian.Leaving Xiangyang and entered the capital of the Eastern Jin Dynasty was indeed difficult.The burial of Xi Zuochi in Xiangyang was clearly recorded in the Records of Jiankang.Although the Xi's pedigree in Jiangxi recorded the incident that Xi Zuochi escaped from Fujian and moved to Baimei,Xinyu,Jiangxi,there were lots of discrepancies.The reason was that two high ranking officials from Xi's family actually appeared in Baimei during the Ming Dynasty and the pedigree showed their achievement was largely due to their ancestor.The burial of Xi Zuochi was actually a tomb without remains worshipped by the Xi's descendants.
