The power wave scattering matrix theory allows for maximum power transfer pertaining to zero reflections. The condition of zero reflections is not realizable through the traveling wave scattering matrix theory given the requirement for the reference impedance to be defined as a real value and that the power transfer through a network is not taken into account. In this work, the application of power scattering matrix theory pertaining to signal integrity is presented. The first application of interpreting the frequency-dependent impedance characteristics looking into the network port presents an alternative means of interpreting the impedance characteristics without having to do an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform based Time Domain Reflectometry. The second application of calculating the noise in the insertion loss due to reflections coming from the channel termination presents a figure of merit for system optimization. This work is an attempt to present a methodology to characterize the frequency domain impedance characteristics looking into a network port and noise in the insertion loss due to reflections coming from the channel termination through the application of the power wave scattering matrix. This work is an attempt to present a methodology to quantify the amount of reflections in the channel.

Formation Stabilization of Multiple Agents Using Decentralized Navigation Functions

We develop decentralized cooperative controllers, which are based on local navigation functions and yield (almost) global asymptotic stability of a group of mobile agents to a desired formation and simultaneous collision avoidance.The formation could be achieved anywhere in the free space; there are no pre-specified final positions for the agents and is rendered stable both in terms of shape and in terms of orientation.Shape and orientation stabilization is possible because the agents regulate relative positions rather than distances with respect to their network neighbors.Asymptotic stability is provable and guaranteed, once the parameters in the local navigation functions are tuned based on the geometry of the environment and the degree of the interconnection network.Feedback controllers steer the agents away from stationary point-obstacles and into the desired formation using information that can be obtained within their sensing neighborhood and through communication with their network neighbors.The methodology is tested in simulation where groups of three and four mobile agents come into formations of triangles and diamonds, navigating amongst obstacles.

Prevalence Of Dental Problems In School Children - A Study In A Rural Community In Haryana

This study was carried out by 13 undergraduate students during their rural posting in Community Medicine at Ballabgarh (Haryana). The Study was performed in a High School to find out the prevalence of dental problems and their probable etiology in 490 school children between 4-17 years of age. The prevalence of caries was found to be 65% and that of dental fluorosis was 40.4%. Consumption of refined sugar in the form of sweets between meals greatly enhanced the problem of dental caries. Plaque, Inadequate cleaning practices leading to poor dental hygiene, flurosis and the lack of earl medical intervention were other contributing factors. There was a lack of awareness about dental hygiene. Community therapy in the form of distribution of pamphlets, posters, giving health talks and a health talks and a health march was imparted with the aim of aiding the primary prevention of dental diseases.

Cardio respiratory responses in factory workers of north Delhi belonging to varying nutritional background.

Healthy males having similar socio-economic and cultural background and differing in food intake (1808.4 Cal/day to 2591.0 Cal/day) and their nature of work form the basis of this report. They are drawn from 54 non-factory workers (Gr-I), 33 tobacco workers (Gr-II), 110 metal workers (Gr-III), 18 plastic workers (Gr-IV) and 12 rubber workers (Gr-V) of 22.1 to 28.6 [mean] years old. Lung functions (FVC, FEV1 & PEFR) along with B.P., pulse rate (PR) and Hb were measured. Their height (Ht), weight (Wt), body surface (BSA), Quetlet Index (QI), skin fold thickness (SFT), calorie intake (CI), monthly income and smoking history were worked out. Among factory workers Ht, Wt, BSA, Hb PR, FVC, FEV1 were found higher in Gr-II, whereas the SFT, QI, PEFR and CI are higher in Gr-V as compared to other groups. The FVC, FEV1 and PEFR are higher in non-factory workers as compared to factory workers.
