Physics-Informed DeepMRI: k-Space Interpolation Meets Heat Diffusion

Recently, diffusion models have shown considerable promise for MRI reconstruction. However, extensive experimentation has revealed that these models are prone to generating artifacts due to the inherent randomness involved in generating images from pure noise. To achieve more controlled image reconstruction, we reexamine the concept of interpolatable physical priors in k-space data, focusing specifically on the interpolation of high-frequency (HF) k-space data from low-frequency (LF) k-space data. Broadly, this insight drives a shift in the generation paradigm from random noise to a more deterministic approach grounded in the existing LF k-space data. Building on this, we first establish a relationship between the interpolation of HF k-space data from LF k-space data and the reverse heat diffusion process, providing a fundamental framework for designing diffusion models that generate missing HF data. To further improve reconstruction accuracy, we integrate a traditional physics-informed k-space interpolation model into our diffusion framework as a data fidelity term. Experimental validation using publicly available datasets demonstrates that our approach significantly surpasses traditional k-space interpolation methods, deep learning-based k-space interpolation techniques, and conventional diffusion models, particularly in HF regions. Finally, we assess the generalization performance of our model across various out-of-distribution datasets. Our code are available at https://github.com/ZhuoxuCui/Heat-Diffusion.

Analyses of Wave Characteristic on Large Diameter PorousVertical Circular Cylinder in Twolayer Ocean

To study the wave hydrodynamic characteristics on porous bodies,a large diameter vertical circular cylinder is studied in a two-layer fluid.Fitting in with boundary qualification,the analytic solution for the diffraction problem about the interior and exterior region of the cylinder is obtained by the Eigen-Function Expansion.The water wave forces and wave run-up on a porous vertical circular cylinder in two-layer ocean are computed.To make the result comparisons between porous cylinder in uniform ocean and impermeable cylinder in two-layer ocean,it is found that the permeability of the cylinders may have a significant influence on weakening the wave force and wave run-up.

State Vector: A New Approach to Prediction of the Failure of Brittle Heterogeneous Media and Large Earthquakes

The concept of state vector stems from statistical physics, where it is usually used to describe activity patterns of a physical field in its manner of coarsegrain. In this paper, we propose an approach by which the state vector was applied to describe quantitatively the damage evolution of the brittle heterogeneous systems, and some interesting results are presented, i.e., prior to the macro-fracture of rock specimens and occurrence of a strong earthquake, evolutions of the four relevant scalars time series derived from the state vectors changed anomalously. As retrospective studies, some prominent large earthquakes occurred in the Chinese Mainland (e.g., the M 7.4 Haicheng earthquake on February 4, 1975, and the M 7.8 Tangshan earthquake on July 28, 1976, etc) were investigated. Results show considerable promise that the time-dependent state vectors could serve as a kind of precursor to predict earthquakes.

The Modified Finite Difference Schemes with Group Velocity Control for Solving 2D Shallow Water Equations

The general method of constructing high-resolution schemes to solve 2D shallow water equations is studied.Using the technique of group velocity control,some high-resolution schemes are obtained,such as three-order upwind group velocity control schemes and four-order group velocity control schemes.Using the dispersion and anisotropy measurement,a criterion to evaluate approximation degree of difference operators to differential operators is obtained.
