Summary form only given. Data mining is a technique where massive amounts of both sensitive and non-sensitive data are collected and examined. While distributing such private data, privacy preserving becomes an important issue. Various methods and techniques have been introduced in privacy preserving data mining to undertake this problem. The main intention of privacy preserving is to extract the knowledge without disclosing private data and it also concerns about the sequential release of data. Sequential data helps in predicting the next occurrence which leads to violating the privacy of individual data. In this paper, we briefly surveyed sequential pattern hiding, k-anonymity, data perturbation and secure sum computation techniques to address the issues of privacy preserving data sharing.
Since colonial times, English Language Teaching (ELT) has been extensively practised in India. The Indian ELT scenario has evolved over the years, in tune with global developments. In recent times, researchers have begun to explore the efficacy of metacognitive approaches in ELT. This paper attempts to review the trends and methods adopted by Indian doctoral research scholars in the area of metacognitive ELT studies by analysing Ph.D. theses published between 2012 and 2022. Since metacognition can positively influence English language teaching, as with other subjects, the authors attempted to analyse the PhD theses that employed metacognition in ELT in the Indian context. Based on the data obtained from Shodhganga, an Indian theses repository, we identified 29 theses that matched our requirements. The study employed a systematic review method to review the theses and adopted the PRISMA guidelines to analyse the data. The themes, major trends and factors influencing metacognitive research were analysed. The study revealed that several researchers relied heavily on a blend of experimental and quantitative approaches, relegating methodologies, topics and context to the background. The overreliance on data-driven research likely stems from several factors such as, the prevailing research culture that emphasizes quantitative research over qualitative studies, uneven emphasis on interdisciplinary research, readily available reading material and data collection sources, and more importantly, the easy accessibility of samples. Finally, the article proposes a few recommendations to develop a metacognitive English Language Teaching culture in India, based on the findings.

In this research, the use of ICTs in India by librarians, particularly in the use of mobile phones, was the focus of this study. To gather the required data for the research, surveys were performed and this approach was implemented. The questionnaire was presented to eight librarians from eight teacher college libraries in the subject of study who responded to it, and the results were used to inform the research. According to the conclusions of the study’s materials, ICT use by professional librarians in India is still a relatively recent phenomena, and as a result, it is still in its early phases. The study showed that while libraries utilise information and communications technology (ICT) to deliver some services, these services are insufficient in part as a result of challenges such as a lack of money, a scarcity of trained personnel, and a lack of managerial support. According to the findings of this study, college librarians should get training in information and communications technology literacy since ICT is a dynamic, continuously practising, and training environment that they should take advantage of, as demonstrated by the results of the study. It was proposed that students have access to contemporary ICT instruments, such PCs, printers and scanners, to help them with their home maintenance tasks in order to enhance the administration of educational institutions. The recommendation was also made that libraries should get sufficient help in this respect. The research also advised that college bibliographers participate in attachment programmes with the help of students at the major university libraries to understand the finest practises of modern librarians.
