Sunflower is higher profit crop and can prove all needs of the Russian Federation in oil. But the important factor limiting sunflower cultivation in the southern regions of the Russian Federation is weed broomrape (Orobanche ситапа Wallr.) an obligate parasite. There are shown the cause-and-effect relations of speed-up formation of new broomrape races and quick infestation of soil with seeds of the most virulent biotypes of broomrape. The main reasons of imbalance in biocenoses of sunflower broomrape on the south of the country after dissolution of the USSR are permission to import into the Russian Federation seeds of foreign breeding susceptible to the local broomrape as well as intensification of crop cultivation and reduction of theoretically based crop rotation till 1-3 years. Violation of laws of biological communities’ coexistence and misunderstanding of regularities of relations between parasite and its host leads to the situation when sunflower cultivation on fields infested with broomrape seeds becomes unprofitable for farmers and it is necessary to clean soil of broomrape seeds. A complex of measures directed on a slow-up of broomrape race development in sunflower sowings and decreasing of broomrape seeds storage in soils is proved.

The intraracial polymorphism of 6 SNP-loci Pfa74, Pfa6, Pha54, Pha56, Pfa82 and Pfa99 of the isolates of downy mildew causative agent Plasmopara halstedii (Farl.) Berl. Et de Toni. 330, 370 and 370 races was investigated. All studied isolates of these races are monomorphic in the loci Pfa74, Pfa6 and Pfa99. The insignificant allelic variability was revealed in 3 loci Pha54, Pha56 and Pfa82, which made for the race 330 14,7 %, 730 31,6%, 710 8,7 %.

The photoes showing the Phoma symtoms on sunflower leaves and stems are presented. The isolates of pathogen were isolated from vegetating sunflower plants in 2012-2013. A fungus was isolated in affected samples of vegetating plants, later it was determined as Phoma macdonaldii according to taxonomy of Boerema et al. (2004). There are described the morphological and cultural traits of this species, its anamorphous and teleomorphous stages of development; the photoes of these stages are presented.

Identification of 73 soybean genotypes with use of 13 polymorphic microsatellite loci was done. For each locus, the index of the polymorphic information content (PIC), varied from 0.18 to 0.81, and effective number of alleles, which varied from 1.28 to 5.30, were calculated. For all soybean genotypes unique sets of alleles are received. The molecular-genetic formula which is offered to use as the corresponding passport for identification and certification is developed for each cultivar.

107 samples of sunflower seeds collected in 2010-2013 in the districts of the Krasnodar, Stavropol, Voronezh, Volgograd, Penza, Rostov and Saratov regions of the Russian Federation were analyzed. 1330 mono-conidial isolates of Alternaria sp. and several other dark-colored hyphomycetes were received and identified. There were dominating nonspecialized small-spored Alternaria species: A. te nuissima (Nees et T. Nees: Fr.) Wiltshire (67 %), A. alternata (Fr.) Keissl (13 %) and the specimens of Alternaria infectoria species complex (16.5 %); there also was found A. arborescens E.G. Simmons. These fungi affected different parts of seeds: embryos, pericarps and seed coats. Specialized species were rarely found: one isolate of A. protenta E.G. Simmons and two isolates of A. helianthi (Hansford) Tubaki et Nishihara in the samples from the Krasnodar region; seven isolates of A. helianthiinficiens E.G. Simmons, Walcz et R.G. Roberts in the samples from the Saratov region (the first report of A. helianthiinficiens in this region of Russia). The single isolates of Stemphylium sp., Ulocladium sp. and Bipolaris australiensis (M.B. Ellis) Tsuda & Ueyama were also identified.

Variability of broomrape parasitizing on sunflower during its intensive cultivation in the regions of the Russian Federation

Annual monitoring of broomrape seed infestation of fields over the last 15 years shows that despite the widespread distribution of race G, seeds of other, weaker races E and F remain in many fields. The aim of the research was to identify the racial belonging of broomrape seeds from fields in sunflower-growing regions of the Russian Federation and to describe new botanical characteristics in representatives of the most widespread race G of the parasite. To identify the races, there were used the internationally accepted sunflower differential lines LC 1093, P 96, resistant to races A to F, as well as the original line RG, which is immune to race G and all previous races, hybrid NK Brio (resistant to races A to E) and hybrid Tunka (resistant to races A to G). A highly aggressive parasite biotype (future race H) has so far been identified in small numbers in some fields in the Krasnodar, Stavropol, Rostov, Voronezh, Samara and Orenburg regions. Obviously, the continuation of intensive sunflower cultivation in these fields will lead to a rapid spread of race H in these regions. In addition to the racial diversity, frequent changes in plant habitus (bushy forms) were observed in some representatives of race G. For the first time, there has been demonstrated an overgrowth of the haustorial-tubercle area of the parasite and the formation of multiple stems from a single tubercle. This creates an advantage in the competition for food between adjacent broomrape individuals on the same sunflower root and ultimately accelerates and increases the seed production of the plant. The rapid evolution of Orobanche cumana Wallr. during the intensification of sunflower cultivation is expressed not only in the formation of new physiological races, but also in an accelerated increase in the seed productivity of the parasite by changing the habitus of the plants, including the haustorial-tubercle area.

Анализ изоферментов при изучении внутривидового полиморфизма возбудителя ложной мучнистой росы подсолнечника

The authors optimized the horizontal starch gel electrophoresis method in conformity with isoenzymes of sunflower downy mildew (Plasmopara halstedii (Farl.) Berl. et de Toni) in Krasnodar region. The analysis of intraspecific variability in P. halstedii by means of ACP, MDH, GPI, PGM, 6PGD, ME, EST, GOT isoenzymatic systems was made. It was shown that interracial differences on esterase are inessential. The seven others isoenzymatic systems are monomorphous for all studied isolated races 330, 700, 710, 730. The population of sunflower downy mildew in Krasnodar region has low intraspecific variability on studied isoenzymatic spectmms.
