Saving resources, protecting the environment and adopting sustainable development policy will be the objective requirements of highway transportation development in the future. The development of a long-term forecast the automobile population in a critical element to making long-term development plans for the China's highway transportation as well as the policies of environmental protection and energy conservation. Based on the analysis of China's economy, the forecast considers the factors of growth rates of economy, population, and automobile inventory and correlates the distributions of per capita GDP in different regions. The forecast uses methods of trends extrapolation, elasticity coefficient modeling, and inventory scenario comparison and calculates transportation future workload. From these analyses, the forecasted result is that by 2030, the automobile population is estimated to be 230–250 million, which is 1.7–1.9 times that of 2020, and 4.6 times that of 2010.
The gap between relatively developed and less developed areas in China has become more evident with economic development. However, only a few investigations have compared factors of transportation CO 2 emissions in relatively developed and less developed areas at the micro level.Factors differ for transportation CO 2 emissions between areas. To assess their differences, we select Guangdong and Guangxi provinces in China as examples. This study conducted a decoupling research between transportation CO 2 emissions and economic output based on the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) decomposition and Tapio decoupling model during 2000-2017.The LMDI model successfully quantified the effects of six factors, focusing on technology-related factors, i.e., research and development (R&D) efficiency and per capita R&D expenditure.Different factors of transportation CO 2 emissions in the two provinces were then compared. Results were as follows: (1) Four decoupling states appeared in the two areas.(2) Per capita R&D expenditure was the primary contributor to increased CO 2 emissions, followed by population size.Relative to those in Guangdong, the two effects were weaker in Guangxi.(3) Energy intensity was the major inhibitor of CO 2 emissions in Guangdong, followed by R&D efficiency. The two effects can reduce CO 2 emissions in Guangxi, although the inhibitory effects were relatively small.(4) Freight transportation intensity in Guangdong increased CO 2 emissions, whereas it decreased CO 2 emissions in Guangxi due to the extremely weak inhibitory effect. Finally, the study provides valuable suggestions for the development of low-carbon transportation in different areas.
This paper introduces the toll elastic pricing to determine the toll rate in discussing such issues as toll elasticity, types of elastic pricing, as well as factors influencing the toll price elasticity in high-grade highways with examples indicating the feasibility of the proposed method. In addition, this paper analyzes the relationship between toll rate and traffic volume, and determines the adjusting ranges of toll rate with examples.
Based on logistics operation at container terminals, the paper optimizes container logistics operation system through integration of logistics operation process, integration of logistics operation infformation and integration of logistics operation management, etc,so as to improving the logistics operation efficiency and service function of the terminal.
The development of dry ports plays an important role on the economic and social development in the context of economic globalization, logistic and supply chain management integration. As one of the main carriers of logistic and supply chain activities between the inland areas and ports, the dry port is developing gradually from infancy to youth. In this paper, some problems concerned about the dry port planning are discussed based on supply chain management: potential benefits, principle of planning and construction, functions and policy measures etc., according to which the suggestions for the construction and development of China's dry ports are provided.
Passenger transportation structure has a great influence on efficiency of regional comprehensive traffic system. Rationalization and optimization of passenger transportation structure is one of important means of improving its validity. From static point of view, an optimization idea of user optimum in the premise of meeting the demand of regional passenger transportation was put forward. According to this idea, optimization model of passenger transportation structure based on resource constraints is built. With the example of the passenger transportation system in the three cities of Harbin, Daqing and Yichun, model is calculated using the software Matlab. Then the optimized proportions of the comprehensive passenger transportation of the three cities are given. Using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the passenger transportation structures before and after optimization are evaluated. The evaluation method is adopted to estimate the passenger transportation structure which is both from optimization model and the actual situation. Through comparison and analysis of the estimation results, it demonstrated the effectiveness of optimization model.
Strategic development is a scheme plan, which to study and explore a country, an area, a system, and how to fully utilize one's own potentiality and objective environment, in order to realize the optimum development. While the strategic development is made, the choice of the strategic objective is the core and main content of strategic development research. The communications and transportation of our country has gone through from a plight preliminary, and grown into `restricting type' from `alleviating type'. Entering into 21st century, how to select the development goal of communications and transportation concerns not only the prospect of communications and transportation development, but also has dynamic relation with the overall situation of national economy. Thus, correctly and scientifically choosing the development strategic objective of the communications and transportation is one of the keys of the whole strategic research.
