Abstract The relation between the action of gibberellin A 3 (GA 3 ) and the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins in plant cells, is known in several plant species (2,4,6). However, previous investigations have not shown the effect of GA 3 on each of these syntheses in tissue from the same plant. This communication shows the influence of GA 3 on each of these substances.
