시설재배지의 토양미생물 분포 특성을 밝히고 토양의 건전성을 평가하고자, 전국 주요 시설재배 8개 주산단지에서 각각 5포장을 선정하여 토양화학성, 미생물분포 및 생화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 토양화학성은 가용성인산, 칼륨, 칼슘의 함량이 적정범위보다 크게 상회하여 상당량의 염류 집적을 확인하였다. 토양미생물의 배양적 방법을 통해 조사한 시설재배지의 주요 우점 박테리아는 Bacillus 속, Microbacterium 속, Arthrobacter 속, Lysobacter 속 등이었으며, 형광성 Pseudomonas 속의 밀도는 상추와 오이 재배지에서 각각 $0.018-7.3{\times}10^4\;cfu\;g^{-1}$, $0.0013-9.6{\times}10^4\;cfu\;g^{-1}$으로 시료에 따라 큰 변이를 보였다. 비배양학적 방법을 통한 토양미생물 분포 조사를 위해 수행한 인지질지방산 (PLFA)의 주성분 분석 결과, 작물 및 지역별 군집구조의 큰 차이는 없었다. 따라서 토양화학성 및 미생물군집구조 측면에서 시설재배지 조사지역의 토양은 대체로 건전한 것으로 판단된다. The soil chemical properties, microbial community structures and biochemical properties of lettuce or cucumber-cultivated greenhouse soil samples were analyzed to assess soil health and characterize microbial distribution in 8 locations in Korea. Although most of chemical properties were within the soil management guidelines, the available phosphate, and the contents of exchangeable potassium and calcium were higher than those of recommended levels. In the culture-dependent analysis, 841 bacterial strains were isolated from the greenhouse soils and were identified at the genus level by 16S rRNA gene sequences analysis. The dominant bacterial genera were Bacillus (35.7%), Microbacterium (9.3%), Arthrobacter (5.7%) and Lysobacter (5.1%). The abundance of pseudomonads was highly variable depending on the soil samples. In the culture-independent analysis, soil microbial community was investigated by using phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) method. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed that a specific grouping for microbial community structure in the greenhouse soils was not observed based on cultivated crops and investigated sites. The results revealed that the greenhouses soils examined are relatively sound managed in terms of soil chemical contents and microbial properties.
We attempted to investigate the correlation between the severity of atopic dermatitis (AD) in children and the indoor level of house dust mite (HDM) allergens. Ninety-five patients (31.1 ± 19.5 months of age) with AD were enrolled in this study, and serum specific IgE against Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and D. farinae was measured. The severity of AD was assessed using the visual analogue scale on the same day of house dust collection. Living rooms and mattresses where the child usually slept were vacuumed for 2 minutes and concentrations of Der f 1 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The skin symptoms were more severe in patients with Der f 1 concentrations in living room > 2 µg/g dust than ≤ 2 µg/g dust (P = 0.018). This difference was noted in AD patients without sensitization to HDM (P = 0.004), but not in patients with sensitization. There was no difference in symptom severity according to Der f 1 concentrations in mattresses (P = 0.062). The severity of skin symptoms is associated with indoor concentrations of HDM in children with AD, and it is likely to act as nonspecific irritants as well as allergens in AD skin lesions.
S. sclerotiorum에 의한 상추 균핵병의 생물적 방제를 위하여 기생진균 P. minitans CM2을 선발하였다. 경기도 양평군의 상추 시설재배포장에서 실험이 3월부터 4월에 수행되었다 상추균핵병 발생초기에 기생진균의 포자현탁액의 농도별로 7일 간격 1회 부터 3회까지 상추의 지제부에 관주처리하였다. P. minitans CM2($1{\times}10^7/m{\ell}$)의 1회 처리구가 11.0%, 베노밀수화제가 2.7%, 무처리가 31.0% 각각 균핵병이 발생하였고, 2회 관주처리가 7.9%, 3회 관주처리가 12.8% 균핵병이 각각 발생하였다. P. minitans CM2 균주의 처리시기에 대한 시험을 양평과 수원에서 실시하였다. P. minitans CM2 균주의 포자현탁액($5{\times}10^6/m{\ell}$)을 상추 정식직후에 관주 처리가 75.3~84.7%, 정식전 육묘 200공 연결포트에 관주처리한 후 균핵병 발생초기에 관주처리는 58.0~63.8% 방제효과를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 결과에서 P. minitans CM2 균주는 상추균핵병에 생물적 방제를 위한 유망한 미생물농약개발이 가능하다고 생각된다. A mycoparasite, Paraconiothyrium minitans CM2 was selected for biological control of sclerotinia rot of lettuce caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The experiment was carried out in a lettuce greenhouse in Yangpyeong from March to April.. When lettuce sclerotinia rot showed in the early stage of occurrence, Conidial suspension of the mycoparasite was weekly treated once to three times onto soil surface around lettuce plants. Incidence of sclerotinia rot in the once-application plot of the mycoparasite ($1{\times}10^7$ spores/$m{\ell}$) and in the benomyl(WP)-treated plot was 11.0% and 2.7%, respectively, whereas that of control was 31.0%. Incidence of twice- and three-application plots of the isolate was 7.9% and 12.8%, respectively. For increasing the effect of the mycoparasite, the experiment for the timing of application of P. minitans CM2 was carried out in a lettuce greenhouse in Yangpyeong and Suwon. Control efficacy against lettuce sclerotinia rot in the soil-drenching plots of P. minitans CM2 ($5{\times}10^6$ spores/$m{\ell}$) in the planting was 75.3~84.7%, and control effect by treatment of the isolate at the pot drenching+the soil-drenching plots in the early stage of disease occurrence was 63.8~58.0%. As the results, P. minitans CM2 could be a prospective biofungicide for biological control of sclerotinia rot of lettuce.
Four leguminous crops grown in greenhouses and fields in Korea were surveyed from 2000 through 2002. Sclerotinia rot most severely occurred up to $60\%$ in Phaseolus vulgaris grown in greenhouses but occurred as low as $0-0.5\%$ in that grown in fields. Incidence of the disease in Pisum sativum grown in greenhouses ranged $1-5\%$, and that in Vicia Java and Vigna sinensis grown in fields was $0.8\%$ and $2\%$, respectively. Symptoms of Sclerotinia rot commonly developed on stems and pods of the crops. A total of 59 isolates of Sclerotinia species were obtained from diseased stems and pods of the crops. All of the isolates were identified as Sclerotinia sclerotiorum based on their morphological characteristics. Eight isolates of the fungus were tested for their pathogenicity to four host crops by artificial inoculation. All of the isolates induced rot symptoms on stems of the host crops tested, which were similar to those observed in the fields. The pathogenicity tests revealed that there was no significant difference in the susceptibility to the isolates among the leguminous crops tested This is the first formal report that S. sclerotiorum causes the Sclerotinia' rot of the four leguminous crops in Korea.
In this paper, we propose a cost-effective way to encode and transmit multi-linear TV channels on IPTV service as one video stream. To overcome the disadvantages of the existing Multiple Program Transport Stream (MPTS) method that requires high terminal specifications and the Cloud Video UI method that incurs high costs, several linear channels are made into tiles using High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard technology, then merged into one stream and transmitted. Through this approach, it is expected that IPTV customers will be able to greatly solve the difficulty of finding the desired channels and programs as several channels, grouped by genre, are displayed on one screen at the same time. In addition, this method efficiently improves the picture quality when multi-channels in a screen are non-equivalent size. Non-uniform tiled structure is introduced by modifying the HEVC PPS Syntax and Slice Header value for each tile. Experimental results show that the proposed tiled structure can improve the PNSR picture quality compared to the existing uniform tiled structure.
This study aimed to analyze the effects of walking and resistance exercises on bone structure, bone mineral density (BMD), and skeletal muscle mass. We used data from the fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES).A total of 3,477 participants aged ≥19 years underwent hip structural analysis (HSA), BMD, and skeletal muscle index (SMI). All radiologic evaluations were performed using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). The Korean short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used to measure physical activity status. The physical activity recommendations of the American College of Rheumatology Work Group Panel were used to evaluate the extent of activity.The BMD and SMI in the group in which walking activity was performed 5 days or more per week for at least 30 min per day were significantly higher than those in the group in which walking activity was not performed. HSA and SMI in the group in which resistance exercise was performed 2 days or more per week for at least 30 min per day were found to be significantly higher than those in the group in which strengthening exercises were not performed.If resistance exercise and walking are combined, bone loss and muscle loss are prevented maintaining cortical thickness in the elderly. Walking for more than 5 days a week and resistance exercise for more than 2 days a week will help to maintain the skeletal muscle as well as the cortex around the femur neck, thus helping to prevent fragility fractures in older individuals.
