Satapur water body is situated in Satapur Village, Renjal Mandal, District Nizamabad. This water body is undisturbed and plenty of marshy places are available here. This is really good place for watching of migratory birds. The study was carried out during March, 2012 to March, 2014 for two years. In this study, total 69 bird species belonging to 39 different families were identified and recorded. Among these 40 species are Resident Common (RC), 6 Resident Migrant Common (RMC), 3 Winter Migrant Common(WMC), 4 are Resident rare (RR), 6 are Resident Uncommon(RU), 1 is Resident Migrant(RM), 6 are Winter Migrant Uncommon (WMU) and 1 species is Resident Migrant Uncommon(RMU). Painted stork near threatened by IUCN (2011) also recorded during the study in flocks.
