This study used data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study to investigate the temporal relationship between blood lipids and sleep duration in Chinese middle-aged and older adults. We used medical examinations and questionnaire data of 5,016 Chinese middle-aged and older adults (age 45+) in 2011 and 2015. Cross-lagged path analysis was performed to examine the bidirectional relationships between blood lipids and sleep duration. Sleep duration and lipids data were analyzed as continuous variables. Temporal relationships between sleep duration and HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, total cholesterol, and triglycerides were different. Sleep duration was negatively associated with HDL-cholesterol 4 year later (β 1 = −0.171, P = 0.005), and HDL-cholesterol was negatively associated with sleep duration 4 year later (β 2 = −0.006, P = 0.002). Longer sleep duration was associated lower levels of LDL-cholesterol (β 1 = −0.275, P = 0.097) and total cholesterol (β 1 = −0.329, P = 0.096) 4 year later. There was a positive correlation between triglycerides and sleep duration. The path coefficient from triglycerides to sleep duration 4 year later (β 2 = 0.001, P = 0.018) was greater than that from sleep duration to triglycerides 4 year later (β 1 = 0.109, P = 0.847), with P = 0.030 for the difference between β 1 and β 2 . In stratified analysis, we found that the strength and direction of the relationships may be related to age and BMI. Effects of sleep duration on blood lipids were only observed among participants aged <60 years, while the effect in the opposite direction was observed in older adults (age 60+), and the cross-lagged path coefficients were more significant in adults with BMI > 25.
Aimed at the new trend in writing-test-making of CET and the social demand for competency-based English talents, this article analyzes four major problems with the current teaching of English writing. From the perspectives of teaching management and actual instruction, it discusses how to improve teaching of English writing. And measures for optimizing learning environment and instruction have been presented.
The author reported the result that the artificial nostoc flagelliforme can be manufactured with starch,sodium alginate gel,proteins and CaCl2,and it possess health effect,pleasant color,smell,taste and characteristics of physical similar to natural nostoc flagelliforme.The influence factor on the prepared of the manmade nostoc flagelliforme with high degree of similarity and with natural nostoc flagelliforme was investigated by experiments designed on the basis of optimal project.Optimum production technology conditions were W(sodium alginate)∶W(starch)∶W(proteins)=2∶1∶1,W(water)∶W(solid materials)=16~20∶1 and the temperature was 50~70℃.
Based on the daily average concentration of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and respirable particulate matter (PM10) from 2001 to 2010, the atmospheric environment quality over the past 10 years in Xi'an was comprehensively evaluated. The process of the evaluation method involves the follow key procedures. First, the pollution factors are put in order by using the evaluation factors dynamic sorting method for determining the importance of each factor. Second, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to determine the weight value of every factor. Finally, the composite index, which represents the environment comprehensive quality, is calculated by weighted average method. The results can provide scientific basis for the related departments to understand the atmospheric environment comprehensive quality in Xi'an.

In complex network analysis, the local community detection problem is getting more and more attention. Because of the difficulty to get complete information of the network, such as the World Wide Web, the local community detection has been proposed by researcher. That is, we can detect a community from a certain source vertex with limited knowledge of an entire graph. The previous methods of local community detection now are more or less inadequate in some places. In this paper, we have proposed a new local modularity metric [Formula: see text] and based on it, a two-phase algorithm is proposed. The method we have taken is a greedy addition algorithm which means adding vertices into the community until [Formula: see text] does not increase. Compared with the previous methods, when our method is calculating the modularity metric, the range of vertices what we considered may affect the quality of the community detection wider. The results of experiments show that whether in computer-generated random graph or in the real networks, our method can effectively solve the problem of the local community detection.
