The text with title Methodology for processing the thesis is a multimedia electronic education material [web side, script download Adobe Acrobat (PDF), and eBook reader (ePub)]. The aim of the publication is to help researchers orient themselves in the basic methodology of research and implementation of individual research steps. The chapters are chronologically sequenced in each phase of the research so as to allow easier passage through the process of research / thesis. The recommended standards and principles for the final work are reflected in the text.
Cílem tohoto šetření byla verifikace využití intervenčních aktivit vybraných intervencí klasifikace NIC (Nursing Interventions Classification) v prevenci ventilátorové pneumonie (Ventilator Association Pneumonia).K posouzení využitelnosti intervenčních aktivit vybraných intervencí klasifikace NIC byl použit postup ICV testu (Intervention Content Validity test). Expertní skupina 36 všeobecných sester z klinické praxe sledované oblasti intenzivní péče posuzovala intervenční aktivity vybraných intervencí NIC z třídy K Management dýchání (český překlad). Pro každou hodnocenou položku bylo vypočteno vážené skóre (vs). Intervenční aktivity s váženým skóre (vs) ≤0,8 byly považovány za charakteristické (hlavní, prioritní) pro naplnění intervence klasifikace NIC. Intervenční aktivity s váženým skóre (vs) 0,79-0,50 byly považovány za méně charakteristické a byly zařazeny jako doplňkové k naplnění intervence klasifikace NIC. The goal of the study was to find out how and to which extent patients are informed before and after their vascular prosthesis implantation. The criterion for being included in the study was to achieve at least 24 points of Mini Mental State Examination and to meet the established indication criteria for the surgery. The ethical committee of the health care facility and all participants, who were informed on the purpose of the study, agreed with the study. Crohnbach`s alpha was calculated to identify internal consistency and reliability of questionnaires. The study results were processed by Pearson`s chi-squared test at 5% level of significance.The respondents` mean age was 68 years. Prior to the surgery, 66% of the respondents were instructed verbally, 6% in the written form and 28% both verbally and in the written form. After the surgery, 54% of the respondents were instructed verbally, 0% only in the written form and 46% both verbally and in the written form. On the satisfaction scale from 1 (very satisfied) to 5 (very dissatisfied), satisfaction was evaluated with 1.46 (amount of information), 1.47 (comprehensibility), and 1.38 (way of providing information). After the surgery: amount of information – 1.56, comprehensibility – 1.52, and way of providing information – 1.57. The study results show good instructions and patient satisfaction. Suitable and correctly provided information both in verbal and written form contribute to higher patient adherence to treatment.
