OZET: Bu arastirma, yaslari 20 olan 45'i erkek ve kronolojik yas ortalamalari 18,2 ∓ 0,58 olan 20'si kadin normal okluzyona sahip 65 eriskin bireyde iskeletsel profil ile yumusak doku profilinin sefalometrik olarak iliskisini saptamak amaciyla gerceklestirildi. Iskeletsel analiz icin ve acilari ile birlikte, yuz profilinin en iyi belirleyicisi olarak kabul edilen konveksite ve yuz acilari da olculdu. iskeletsel Sinif 1 yapida ve dissel olarak normal okluzyona sahip bireylerde Steiner'in “S duzlemi “ ne gore alt ve ust dudak konumlari belirlendi. This study is realized to correlate skeletal and soft tissue profiles cephalometrically on (45 males - age 20 and 20 females-average chronological age 18.2 +/- 0.58) total 65 adults with normal occlusion. For skeletal analysis GoGnSN, SNA, SNB, ANB angles and convexite and face angles which are accepted as the certain commune characteristics of profile are measured as well. Lower and upper lip positions were determined according to Steiner's "S plane" on individuals with normal dental occlusion and skeletal pattern. Having drawn soft profile and perpendicular to face plane (Na-Pg) from the tips of lips, chin and nose, thicknesses of soft tissue are measured. The mean values obtained, standard deviations and correlation coefficients were evaluated by using Systat package program. Relationships between the convexite angles and soft tissue thickness are found significant on males and lip positions and soft tissue relationships on both sexes are found meaningful.
OZET: Dissel ve iskeletsel normal okluzyona sahip 24 bayan ve 29 erkekten olusan toplam 53 eriskin bireyde sefalometrik olcumler yapilarak NSAr = S, SNA, SNB, SND acilarinin ortalama degerleri, standart sapmalari ve cinsler arasi farkliliklar istatistiksel olarak degerlendirildi. S acisinin SNA, SNB, SND acilari ile iliskisi incelendiginde aralarinda ters yonlu anlamli bir iliski bulundugu ve korelasyonlarda paralelizm oldugu belirlendi. Bu acilarin birlikte ters yonlu iliskisi, orta kraniyal bolge ile cenelerin uyum icin olduklarini kanitlamis oldu.
OZET: Bu calisma kronolojik yas ortalamalari 18-20 yil arasinda normal okluzyonlu 49'i erkek 37'si bayan toplam 85 eriskin bireyin bilinen usullerle alinan sefalometrik grafilerinde ANB acisinin ortalama degerini, standart sapmasini ve cinsler arasi farkini saptamak amaciyla yapildi. ANB acisinin ortalama degeri bayanlarda; 2.9° ± 2.2, erkeklerde; 2.5 ± 2.3° idi. Farkliliginin istadstiksel olarak anlamli olmadigi anlasildi.
In this study which is done to examine the effect of teeth positions on soft tissue profile (45 males-age 20-and 20 females age average 18.2 +/- 0.58) total 65 adults with normal orthodontic region, what the position and thickness of soft tissues should be is shown when the teeth are in normal occlusion. In this research which puts for the certain dentofacial criteria, dental system with soft tissue positions and thickness in both sexes is important. When lower and upper-lips are tangents to or just behind Steiner's "S plane" the balanced facial profile in our population is found and considered to be ideal statistically. In spite of this the criteria used esthetic balances changes from one person to another.
OZET: Dissel ve iskeetsel normal okluzyona sahip 26 kadin ve 33 erkekten olusan arastirma grubunda on ve arka yuz yukseklikleri ortalamalari ve bunlar arasindaki oran, FHR cinslere gore ortalamalar arasi farklilik saptanmis olup, bu degiskenlerin Y ekseni acisi ile iliskileri incelendi. Turk toplumunda kadinlarda arka yuz yuksekligi ortalamasi 81.42 ∓ 5.8 on yuz yuksekligi ortalamasi 120.19 ∓ 6.02, FHR ortalamasi ise 67.98 ∓ 323 bulundu. Erkeklerde bu degerler sirasiyla 83.73 ∓ 6.3,127.70 ∓ 6.9, 69.53 ∓ 4.3 di. Cinslere gore ortalamalar arasi farklilik arka ve on yuz yuksekliklerinde onemli bulundu. Heriki cinste arka ile onyuz yukseklikleri ve arka yuz yuksekligi ile FHR arasindaki iliski katsayilarinin da anlamli oldugu gozlendi. Ayrica Y ekseni acisi ile arka yuz yuksekligi arasinda yalnizca bayanlarda anlamli ters bir iliski bulundu.

Bu olcumlerin ortalama degerleri ve standart sapmalari ve iliski katsayilari her iki seksde de istatistiksel olarak degerlendirildi. Dissel ve iskeletsel olarak ideal okluzyona sahip bireylerde; erkeklerde ramus — total, kadinlarda Corpus — total ve her iki seksde tum mandibular acilar arasi iliskiler onemli bulundu.
This study was done to find out the standard norms and their relations in the mandibular dimensions and angles in cephalometric x-rays of total 85 adults-48 males and 37 females-aged 18-20 with normal occlusion. The dimensions of ramus and corpus with the lengths Co-Go and Go-M lines and effective mandibular lengths with Co-Pg and also the Co, Go and M angles were measured by cephalometric rules. The mean values, standard deviations and the correlation coefficient of these measurements were evaluated statistically and the values related to mandibular with normal occlusion in both sexes were shown. Ramus-total relations in males and corpus-total relations in females and relations of all mandibular angles in both sexes were found significant in the individuals with normal dental occlusion and skeletal pattern.
OZET: Bu calismada normal okluzyonlu bireylerle, Class III malokluzyonlu bireylerin Mentalis, Masseter ve OOS kaslarinin elektromiyografik kayitlarindan elde edilen ortalama amplitud degerleri birbirleri ile karsilastirildi. Class III malokluzyonda; mandibular protrusion ve alt yuz yuksekliginin artmasina iliskin M. Mentalis kasindaki hipofonksiyondan dolayi elektromiyografik kayitlarda ortalama amplitud degerlerinde azalma ve yeterince interferensin olusmadigi saptandi. M. Masseter'de normal ve Class III malokluzyon arasinda belirgin bir fark olmadigi, OOS'de ise hipofonksiyondan oturu maksimal kontraksiyonunu kullanamadigindan ortalama amplitud degerlerinde dusme gozlendi.
In this study mean amplitude values obtained from mentalis, Masseter and OOS muscles electromyographic records of adults with normal occlusion and with Class III malocclusion were compared. As regards to Class III malocclusion, it was determined that mean amplitude values decrease and enough interference could not be formed due to the hypofunction of mentalis muscle related to mandibular protrusion and increase in low face height. There was no significant differences between normal and Class III malocclusion cases for the masseter muscle. Decrease of mean amplitude values were observed for the OOS muscle it was not showing maximal contraction due to the its hypofunction.
