Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Xuebijing on treating severe sepsis and septic shock.Methods:84patients with severe sepsis and septic shock were randomized into the observation group and the control group with the equal number of cases.The control group received conventional therapy,while the observation group were given intravenous Xuebijing rejection with the dose of 50 ml,twice a day and 7days for a treatment course on the basis of conventional therapy.Results:After the treatment,the fatality rate in the observation group was 16.7%,lower than38.1%in the control group.APACHE Ⅱ scoring in both groups had been improved,but the scoring in the observation group(15.2±3.2)was obviously lower than that in the control group(20.5±3.4),which was of statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion:The application of Xuebijing to treating patients with severe sepsis and septic shock can effectively reduce the fatality rate and relieve the acute physiology and chronic health conditions of patients.
Objective :To summarize the clinical efficacy of patients with severe acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema treated by mechanical ventilation. Methods :The clinical data of 40 patients with severe acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema treated by mechanical ventilation were retrospectively analyzed from Jan 2010 to Dec 2014. Results :The condition improved rate of the patients was 87.5%(35 / 40), with an average recovery time of(7.5 ±0.9) h. 4cases died, the cause of death were all a large area of myocardial infarction complicated with cardiogenic shock. The p H,Pa O2,Sa O2 of patients were significantly increased after treatment(P 0.05). While PaCO2, heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure were decreased significantly,all P 0.05. Conclusion :Mechanical ventilation contributes to the improvement of hypoxia symptoms of patients with severe acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema and improve their cardiac function.
