Cucumber (cucumis sativus) Slicing Through Multipurpose Vegetable Slicer cum Shredder

Existing slicers and shredders were reviewed and the multipurpose vegetable slicer cum shredder was developed based on appropriate technology. Locally available materials like Stainless steel, Mild steel, Plastic and Wood were used in the fabrication. The machine can be adjusted to slice or shred vegetables at varying speed. For the processing of vegetables cutting of them in uniform manner is an important unit operation. Hence, a multipurpose vegetable slicer cum shredder was designed and developed. Manual slicing is traditional in India and is tedious and time consuming. Moreover, the ununiformed of the final product is very high. Therefore, keeping the above fact in mind, the Department of Processing and Food Engineering, College of Technology and Engineering, M.P.U.A.T., designed and developed a multipurpose vegetable slicer cum shredder machine. The present study was undertaken with the following objectives: to slicing of cucumber by newly developed multipurpose vegetable slicer cum shredder.

Information security has been an essential part of human life from old time.In computer society, information protection turns out to be more vital for humankind and new rising technologies are developing in a perpetual stream.Cryptography is one of the most important techniques used for securing transmission of messages and protection of data.It provides privacy and security for the secret information by hiding it from unauthorized users.In this paper authors have proposed a method of cryptography, in which authors have used Laplace transform for encrypting the plain text and corresponding inverse Laplace transform for decryption.This paper is based on the work of [1,2,3,4].

Is it cost saving or environmental benefits Factors influencing energy saving behaviour amongst consumers in India

In order to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, it is important for households to engage in energy saving behaviour. The study explores the different types of energy saving actions and select drivers of such energy saving behaviour amongst consumers in urban India. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire from consumers in Delhi NCR in an online mode (n = 241). The study identifies three forms of energy saving behaviour which are labelled as 'direct energy saving behaviour', 'indirect energy saving behaviour' and 'energy efficient product purchase behaviour'. Perceived environmental benefits, perceived economic benefits and perceived costs are examined for their impact on energy saving behaviour. Finally, a set of recommendations which encompass a multi-pronged strategy for encouraging energy saving behaviour amongst consumers is presented.

A role‐entity based human activity recognition using inter‐body features and temporal sequence memory

Abstract Recognizing entities and their corresponding roles are important in human activity recognition. In light of recent advancements, the primary emphasis is recognizing the abstract activities involving person‐person interaction. The contribution of this work is proposing an architecture, which utilizes the knowledge of the human body parts coordinates in role detection of each individual. The network preprocesses the coordinates to build intra‐body and inter‐body features. The extracted features build the relationship between the interacting bodies and learn the temporal relation corresponding to each role using the human memory‐inspired hierarchical temporal memory. The model is tested on vague samples of mutual actions in the experimental work. The model is found robust in action and role recognition tasks and performed well per expectations.

Load balancing is a technique of balancing the load on virtual machines for the number of requests coming from the Users to access resources over Data Centers.Here in this paper a new and effectual tactic for Load Balancing over computing is proposed using Modified Active Load Balancing by Ant based Clustering Algorithm.The Existing technique implemented for Load balancing on Cloud Simulators fails to provide efficient load balancing, hence a new approach is proposed where Clustering is done ant based gathering on the basis of Utilization of Virtual Machines.The Proposed methodology provides efficient Throughput and MakeSpan time.
