Bullying among students, especially high school students are still common. Acts of violence in schools involve both senior and junior. The seniors’ role of displaying seniority is to teach the juniors manners and discipline. But there are many seniors who abuse the terms of seniority by acting arbitrarily to their juniors. This article will explain how bullying can be considered as a field of power contestation. This study uses several techniques of ethnographic methods, namely, direct observation, interview, and literature. Researchers used indirect observation because informants are reluctant to commit acts of violence when there are other people outside their group. Based on the results of the research, capital are at stake for the actors to reach the prize, such as honor, fame, and material. Bullying behavior that occurs in SMA E Jakarta continues because of an understanding that they have to continue what has been instilled by their seniors before, such as the rules for class X are always imposed from year to the next one.
Along with socio-cultural changes and the development of Islam that has spread to almost all parts of the world, it demands a reinterpretation of religious texts, considering the rules made by previous scholars have not yet accommodated the changes, especially related to the position of women. This change has become the idea for ladies activists to reinterpret the principles that are determined by ancient scholars that aren’t any longer relevant and interpret new things that haven’t been mentioned by the students. The debate over gender issues is unavoidable, especially between women activists and figures who consider the works of ancient scholars to still be relevant and think there is no need for reinterpretation. The purpose of this study is to provide a reinterpretation of religious texts related to gender understanding, especially those related to the position of women, especially for spots that demand equality with men. The research used is qualitative research in the form of literature study, with a hermeneutic approach and prioritizing theological, sociological and philosophical aspects. The results of this study illustrate that in addition to its nature, Islam also positions women so high and noble, in certain positions they have an equal position and degree with men, not only in their position in terms of religion, but also in other aspects, such as cultural, social, politics and other aspects.
This paper is a theoretical study of the use of cultural theory which played to explain journalism activities that just not an activity to provide accurate information in the public space. In an industrial context, in fact journalism activities has face any complex situasion. Now, the activities is no longer exclusively owned by journalists, but journalism is a kind of football arena that have some interest in it. To present news, journalists must be able to absorb various interest from various trajectories. There is a game metaphor that journalists must follow, and how journalist do "practice" the game in the field of contestation, which will be explored using Bourdieu's cultural theory,Through this article, I hope, it can contribute to how anthropology plays a role in developing media studies, and vice versa, it can be a trigger for how anthropologists should begin to enter cultural studies which are not just exotic and simple social units; but also entered the study arena into more complex social units, for example in media organizations
Wisata hutan mangrove merupakan salah satu bentuk pariwisata berbasis lingkungan yang memiliki potensi besar, namun partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangannya masih kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan, faktor pendorong, dan bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Objek Wisata Hutan Mangrove Tongke-Tongke, Kabupaten Sinjai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari masyarakat, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, dan tokoh adat di tiga dusun di Desa Tongke-Tongke. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahapan partisipasi masyarakat pada objek wisata Hutan Mangrove Tongke-Tongke mencakup empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengambilan manfaat, dan evaluasi namun masih tergolong partisipasi semu. Faktor-faktor yang mendorong partisipasi antara lain rasa kepemilikan dan tanggung jawab, tingkat kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya konservasi lingkungan, dan dorongan eksternal dari pemerintah dan lembaga non-pemerintah. Bentuk partisipasi masyarakat yang ditemukan meliputi partisipasi buah pikiran, tenaga, harta benda, keterampilan, dan partisipasi sosial. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat, penguatan dukungan eksternal, pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal, dan pengembangan mekanisme evaluasi partisipasi masyarakat. Temuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi pengembangan strategi yang berkelanjutan untuk pengelolaan wisata hutan mangrove di kawasan lainnya.
The fanaticism of football supporters among PSIS Semarang supporters, namely Panser Biru and Snex, is seen as a form of solidarity that exists between consentient individuals who are united based on the similarity of their love for the PSIS Semarang team. This paper aims to describe the forms of fanaticism PSIS supporters, forms and patterns of symbolic expression of PSIS supporters and the relationship between fanaticism and symbolic expressions created by PSIS Semarang supporters. This study uses ethnographic methods with data collection techniques such as participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study. This study uses the consumer culture theory by Celia Lury. The approach used to study this research is symbolic interactionism by Agus Maladi Irianto. Based on research findings, the fanaticism form of PSIS supporters is the use of attributes by Panser Biru and Snex supporters, unlimited loyalty in supporting PSIS, love, and totality in supporting PSIS, introducing and educating children about PSIS from an early age. The forms and patterns of the symbolic expression of the Panser Biru and Snex supporters include the choreography, mural, banners, criticism, and also the fan chants of the Panser Biru and Snex for PSIS Semarang. Fanaticism appears to symbolic expressions and all forms of symbolic expression are related to their fanaticism (Panser Biru and Snex). The meaning of the supporters of what they have done is what expresses the fanaticism of the individual PSIS supporters. The form of relationship between fanaticism and symbolic expression is the choreography and chants displayed while in the stadium means showing their fanaticism towards PSIS in the form of love and totality so that during support Through choreography and chants carried out with sincerity and maximums to positively impact the result of the match because of the influence of supporters’ support that keeps the spirit of the player when competing very large.

Indonesia merupakan Negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam. Bermacam-macam tanaman yang hidup di Indonesia mempunyai banyak manfaat. Namun, banyak orang yang belum mengetahui manfaat dari masing-masing tanaman. Buah papaya super Thailand (Carica pepaya L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang banyak di gemari oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Buah papaya memiliki banyak kandungan vitamin A, vitamin C, mineral dan energi serta buah papaya memiliki banyak antioksidan yang baik bagi kesehatan. Adapun tujuanpeneletian yaitu melakukan anaisis uji organoleptik, kadar air, vitamin C dan total gula. Hasil uji organoleptik mengunakan metode hedonik pada 30 orang panelis baik dari segi warna (P1) 4.11, (P2) 4.17, (P3) 4.01, aroma (P1) 3.9, (P2) 4.1, (P3) 3.7, dan rasa (P1) 5.43, (P2) 5.13, (P3) 5.53, sedangkan untuk uji analisis kimia kadar air memperoleh nilai (P1) 82.34, (P2) 49.44, (P3) 87.63, kadar gula (P1) 17.1, (P2) 22.1 (P3) 24.3, uji vitamin C (P1) 4.77, (P2) 4.39, (P3) 6.12.
Anemon merupakan salah satu hewan laut dari filum Cnidaria atau Coelenterata yang sering dimanfaatkan sebagai penghias akuarium dan sumber makanan bagi masyarakat pesisir Wakatobi. Berdasarkan literature, anemon telah berhasil di identifikasi sebanyak 12 jenis tersebar di seluruh dunia, 10 jenis diantaranya terdapat di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan anemon pada daerah terumbu karang di perairan Desa Kasuari, Wakatobi. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan yaitu Februari – Maret 2020. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode belt transect yaitu dengan luas 200m² dengan 3 kali ulangan untuk mewakili area reef flat dan reef slope. Jenis anemon yang ditemukan di perairan Desa Kaswari yaitu Heteractis crispa dan Heteractis malu. Kelimpahan anemon di perairan Desa Kaswari pada stasiun Reef Flat adalah 0,045 individu/m² sedangkan pada stasiun Reef Slope adalah 0,065 individu/m². Hasil Uji-T diperoleh nilai t-hitung (-2.000) ≤ t-tabel (2.776). Artinya bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara nilai rata-rata individu anemon pada daerah reef flat dan reef slope meskipun berada pada zona terumbu karang yang berbeda.Kata Kunci: Kelimpahan anemon, Terumbu karang, Kaswari.
The spread of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic continues in impending world public health and bringing considerable human suffering. The present study investigates the vulnerable groups' reaction from informal sectors to the execution of the self-isolation policy of COVID-19 in Semarang City, Indonesia. This study is designed using a qualitative method with an ethnography approach. Using the binary opposition thinking pattern pioneered by Levi-Strauss, this study conducts the interview process with 25 informants in Semarang City. The data analysed using the response pattern of informants. We use the taxonomy analysis and finds three levels of vulnerability group; (a) jobs lost, (b) income decreased, and (c) delayed salary. The result of the analysis found that the group that obeys self-isolation is a rational thinking model. They stay at home, do not go to work, and no income. Also, the group who ignored self-isolation is a non-rational thinking model. They work, as usual, get their salaries, and believe that Covid-19 is a disaster; they pray for their safety to God. In conclusion, COVID 19 brings an economic impact on vulnerable groups in the forms of postponing, declining, and missing income. Even its circumstances are worse when self-isolation is forced. Thus, this study suggests that the government needs to assist vulnerable groups by focusing on strategic policies, such as strategies for survival, providing access to basic needs, and livelihood plans by providing access to improve livelihoods sustainably.
This study aims to examine 2 (two) main problems, namely how is the application of integrated assessment in law enforcement against narcotics abusers and why there are obstacles to the application of integrated assessment in law enforcement against narcotics abusers. The method used in examining these two problems is the nomative method using the legal approach (statute approach) and the case approach (case approach). The application of the integrated assessment is based on the provisions of Article 127 paragraph (2) and (3) of the Narcotics Law which requires evidence for narcotics abusers in order to be rehabilitated. This proof can be obtained by the existence of an integrated assessment of narcotics abusers which aims to identify the level of narcotics addiction and their involvement in the narcotics network. Its implementation is regulated through the Joint Regulation of 7 (seven) State Agencies as a technical guide in law enforcement against narcotics abusers so that it is synergistic and integrated. Through an integrated assessment, narcotics abusers can be placed early in the rehabilitation system while law enforcement continues. The implementation of an integrated assessment can be seen as a Restorative Justice approach to narcotics abusers, law enforcement continues and restoration of the condition of narcotics abusers can still be achieved.
